Is Tyson Fury the biggest fraud in boxing?

Fury's really annoyed me with his behaviour.

Had really wanted to see a unified World Champion from Britain, but he's killed so much good will I had towards him.

I'm actually leaning towards wanting Usyk to win if the fight ever happens.
To he honest, in these big fights, I generally don't "support" a boxer. I just want to see a good fight. I felt no affiliation towards AJ in the Usyk fight. I was happy for Usyk. He's a genuine bloke and a top quality fighter.

I went to watch the Parker v Joyce fight last year and although I did want Joyce to win because I think he's got potential to challenge for World tiles, I would have been just as happy for Parker to win that fight as long as I seen a good fight. And that one was a belter.

However, in this case, I would love to see Fury get schooled by Usyk. I think it would be tough, but if anyone in the division can beat Fury, it's Usyk

From Dan Raphael

A tentative deal has been reached for the long-awaited undisputed heavyweight title fight between lineal/WBC champion Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF belts, according to WBA president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza.

Mendoza told Fight Freaks Unite on Friday that the sides notified him that they have reached an agreement, although he said they still had to “work on the contracts.”

Mendoza was told of the deal, which was struck between Fury co-promoter Frank Warren and Usyk promoter Alex Krassyuk, just before the WBA, which had grown tired of waiting for an agreement, was poised to notify Usyk by 5 p.m. ET on Friday that it was going to order his mandatory defense against England’s Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18K KOs). He holds the WBA “regular” title and is also promoted by Warren. Usyk-Dubois would be worth a fraction of the money Usyk can make by facing Fury.

The WBA had previously held off on making the order to give Usyk and Fury time to make a fight that would crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era and the first undisputed champion in the division since Lennox Lewis outpointed Evander Holyfield in their rematch to unify the three major titles in Las Vegas on Nov. 13, 1999.

“It seems Usyk versus Fury will happen,” Mendoza said. “There is an agreement between Usyk and Fury. They will provide a contract and dates. They are basically saying an agreement has been reached, let’s work on the contracts.”

Hopefully the fight is officially announced soon and we can talk about what's gonna happen in the ring rather than all the playground stuff from the last 8 pages.

True, although that's only because of Furys antics. Remember its not about the money 🥴

BBC reporting it now. Looks like Fury has worked a negotiating masterclass and got the deal he wanted ;)
Or he ran out of excuses and couldn’t keep delaying and making excuses without losing the rest of his fan base.

If you read his book, he is quite open and honest that the boxing theatrics are all about generating interest in the fightes and therefore generating money. I keep saying this. Yet many people believe the nonsense.

He’s asking for money and splits he knows Usyk won’t accept! Usyk has all the belts!

Usyk accepts.

The galaxy brains on this thread, that’s why I’ve just ignored it for the most part, I can have a better conversation about boxing with my dog.
