Stockton Calling - who are your 'must see' acts?

First time at Stockton Calling and looking forward to it.
Going to try and plan a route to get to see all 10 venues - is that possible?

They’re all within walking distance, for all the best laid plans my best experiences have been when I’ve just wandered around aimlessly and ended up seeing a complete random.

Here is as promised Playlists for all the stages for this year’s Stockton Calling 2023

The lists are sorted to follow Clashfinder so it runs from ARC>>>>>>STICKY’S. Acts are listed from bill toppers down to opening acts. I have included songs from all artists(except Haunted Hair who don’t seem to be on Spotify). Artists may get 3 or even 4 songs if I really like them on a sliding scale to 1 if they are not my cup of tea. That’s not to say those with only one song is bad in fact quite the opposite in some cases but they just were not for me. Hope this helps you plan your day. I have to go back and listen again now as I have a thousand songs going round my head.

I will post this on a separate thread when I get time.

I'm not familiar with Sticky's. Is it a new name for somewhere?
Sticky's is a great venue for rock/indie bands but on first listen most of the bands performing are so middle of the road they should have white lines up their backs. Most not all. Hopefully when I get back to listen to playlists more might come out to entice me there.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to pop in for at least one band though, just to have a look at the place.

Paterson don't let me put you off. Have a listen the bands there might be right up your street. Saw Bob Vylan at last years S.C and he was awesome and venue was so good.
As Lefty says Michael Gallagher is decent but clashes with a lot of good acts.

I sometimes think I should make an effort to work out in advance who to see, but in reality I'm happy enough to just wander around and catch bands at random. If I like them I'll stick around, if not I'll move on again. It means that I tend to see a lot of part-sets but, having a short attention span, I'm fine with that.
I like the random approach and that has the added advantage that if a venue is full I just turn around and go somewhere else and so avoid disappointment of missing out.

Surprising that! A lot of the acts on that stage are promoter faves and regulars at the other festivals around here.

I really like Viia, she gives me Lana Del Rey vibes.
