Who was best, Viduka, Boksic or Ravanelli?

Just seen some old footage of Boksic on a twitter feed, got me thinking.

Only my opinion but those 3 feel like the same 'type' of player - skillful classy but maybe dont offer a lot in general play...

ooh thats a belting question......... I have been thinking for an hour and can't decide :) Who do I want back for one more season?? Maybe Rav, who would I resign...... Viduka! But Boksic was so good, but also so cold.

Viduka for me👍

The best forward I'd seen at Boro. He wasn't the most mobile but his close control and ability to turn in tight spaces was sublime for a big unit.

Just look at the quality of his goals for a target man. He scored some absolute belters.

I still think I'm 'privileged' to have seen Boksic in a Boro shirt. He was a world class superstar.

I would say 'on his day' better than Viduka but due to injuries they were few and far between. That said I went to his debut at Coventry and came away thinking 'how have we signed this guy'😂

Boksic when he could be bothered. I think his best games were when his son was in the crowd. Always seemed to play well against Man Utd!

Venables appeared to motivate him far more than Robbo did. How many games did he miss with colds? :ROFLMAO:

Rav was a deadly finisher but, IMHO, Vidula and Boksic are light years ahead of him in terms of all round ability.

Boksic absolutely oozed class and were it not for lengthy serious injuries throughout his career he’d never have been at Boro. Looked lazy and uninterested half the time but by God, even when he was half ar$ed he was sublime.

likewise with Viduka who obviously was better for us and was a class, all round player.

I have only ever had two names on the back of Boro shirts and one was Boksic, loved the guy. Not even Juninho, Viduka or Rav achieved that!

In terms of talent then Boksic, for a margin for me - look at the clubs he played for, compared to Viduka fir example.

He had everything; two footed, could dribble, was strong, quick and good in the air. So much natural talent, but we only saw it in flashes sadly.

I think this guy should have been mentioned too with those three ...

Does this one play below? (I think the copyright police have blocked it) i know the smart ar$es at youtube made me remove some goals due to copyright just to get the video made public ... they have a clever upload system!

Here's the Boro goalscoring records for the 3:

Viduka 72 (26)
Boksic 68 (22)
Ravanelli 35 (17)

2 other strikers worthy of being in the conversation:

Hasselbaink 58 (22)
Yakubu 73 (25)

In my mind Viduka played loads more for Boro than Boksic so surprised how close in games they were. Out of the 3 I'd go for Viduka as better as a Boro player, Boksic better in general. Out of the 5 quality strikers I'd pick Jimi, the only one out of the 5 without some degree of an attitude problem.

I'd rather watch Boksic play, so silky. Ravanelli the best finisher of the trio with Viduka a combination of the two and probably the best overall player. In conclusion, I have no idea.

I was at Highfield road that day too. Noel Whelan also looked like a superstar! Boksic for me for his goals at Newcastle - Viduka close second as he was top class and I loved Rav when I was at school but he didn’t stay long enough.

I was there too, with the signings of Boksic, Job and Karembeu we looked absolutely class that day.

I thought we were destined for Champions League not a relegation scrap.
