He used "loans" from the company he owns to pay for houses and their refurbishment. Those loans come under "taxable expenses, allowances and benefits" section of the MPs code of conduct. Something he failed to declare.

A home loan from a friend and colleague - and rightly he resigned over it. Will these charlatans ever do the same? Paterson had to when he realised the PM had to withdraw support and didn't do so straight away when he was rumbled.
