Towards Boris Johnson and the Government?
So much nastiness and bile on this thread.
A lot assumptions made ehNope. I missed out on a year of my, and my familys life because of the restrictions, refuse to do it again. Life is way too short.
You should try it, turn off your TV and embrace life. Spend less time on social media.
Yes and NoTowards Boris Johnson and the Government?
All deserved to be fair.Yes and No
Yes and No
Twitter should shut down for the day. That tweet is glorious.
I absolutely agree the government got this utterly wrong and I still don't get why masks become a political statement from teh tories.Once again, not a single preventative measure was put in place before the first lockdown. No working from home, no mask mandate, no social distancing. After the first kickdown masks were still not mandated.
It doesn't because, those lockdowns were necessary due to government failures. We aggressively agree that lockdowns wouldn't be necessary if the government had a holistic and strategy approach, but they didn't so lockdowns were at that point the only option left.To claim that without lockdowns we would have suffered more ignores the other responses that were available to us.
It is if we are all selfish and refuse to take measures to protect people, simple measures likes sensible social distancing, testing, vaccines and masks.Nope. I missed out on a year of my, and my familys life because of the restrictions, refuse to do it again. Life is way too short.
A lot of assumptions there also!Oh look at me I didn’t wear a mask, because I only care about myself
See even THEY know. Even the extreme shills know to keep quiet as corruption and lie and law breaking event after event piles up on top of each other like the worst sewage heap in history.what has happened in the last two months with the usual Tory stooge around here, they seem strangely absent even big Tory fanboys like FatCat have gone quiet.
Why do you think a "mild" variant would trigger any measures?Maybe in one or two years time when new restrictions come in again because of yet another variant, like Omicron, that gives you the same symptoms as a common cold, you may also say to yourself, no thanks, enough is enough.
I’m talking about the nastiness towards fellow posters. And you don't feel it is justified?
I’m still here don’t worry.See even THEY know. Even the extreme shills know to keep quiet as corruption and lie and law breaking event after event piles up on top of each other like the worst sewage heap in history.
moot point really though because they’ll still vote for them, no matter how badly they abuse the citizens of this country
We're not a million miles apart.I absolutely agree the government got this utterly wrong and I still don't get why masks become a political statement from teh tories.
It doesn't because, those lockdowns were necessary due to government failures. We aggressively agree that lockdowns wouldn't be necessary if the government had a holistic and strategy approach, but they didn't so lockdowns were at that point the only option left.
Contributing to political threads in the past never seemed to phase you.I’m still here don’t worry.
despicable behaviours from the Tories and the leak from Rees Mogg would be offensive to anyone. I’m sure a lot of heads will roll for this and rightly so. I’m a strong believer in following the covid rules (rightly or wrongly) so when the leading party make a mockery of them in this way they make a mockery of those following the rules, to joke about it is morally offensive especially given the horrors some families have faced.
I get a bit perplexed by the title of the thread “whilst the rest of us locked down” let’s be honest there are two types of people in this world those that follow the rules and those that don’t - and let’s not pretend it’s the minority that don’t. I’m sure they are many on this board who had Christmas drinks with work colleagues. It doesn’t excuse the conservatives doing what they did but save me the faux outrage and double standards. There were people on this board saying that they were doing what they liked for Christmas last year and stuff everyone else - I note at least one of them now ironically contributing to this thread.
with regard my absence I try to stay away from the political threads as there is little logic - I saw one the other day one poster blaming a specific party for the drug taking - at that point with that sort of blind bias I know there is no point using up energy to debate things of apolitical nature on here.
