Man u or Villa away

They say we took over 10k to Old Trafford in 2015.

I missed that trip because of work and regret it.

Loved Man City away in 2015 though.

You have to wonder just how much of an affect missing that penalty at the euros and the resulting racist abuse he received has had on Rashford. He looks as if he's fallen out of love with the game.

He was struggling before that and hardly kicked a ball at the Euros before the penalty but I feel that Incident may be the straw that broke the camels back. I still maintain Southgate threw him under the bus.

Hopefully he can find find the form that made him such an exciting player and prospect. United fans have supported him but looking at twitter, their patience is wearing thin.

Agree, he’s struggled for a couple of years now, not sure if injuries have ruined him as he’s had a fair few or if it’s more mental. Though more likely a bit of both. Attitude doesn’t seem right either, when that ball was loose he was more bothered about throwing a tantrum that he wasn’t passed to than challenging the keeper for the loose ball.

We've been written off by Lineker and Shearer before a ball is kicked
Some of you are so so sensitive. The context of the comments was that Man Utd's only realistic hope of winning anything this season is the FA Cup, so winning against Villa to face a lower league team is important. That's just facts not any sleight.

If we were facing a D1 team we'd think that gave us a better chance of progressing than if we were facing a top championship team. Hardly an outrageous opinion on their part.

Linekars comment didn’t bother me but it’s a very simplistic way of looking at the tie. I’d have expected a comment more along the lines of “On the back of that performance, an in form Middlesbrough will prove quite a stern test for United won’t they?” Then put it to the pundits. Baring in mind he’s the anchor for football in BBC, I’d have expected him to have at least a bit of knowledge on how we are doing.

Everyone who knows anything about football knows league and position goes out the window in knockout football.

Your not going to get detailed football knowledge and depth of discussion from Lineker and the BBC. Anyway, Man United fan base is massively bigger than boro and vast majority of casual viewers will be more interested in United. They'll tailor the discussion to the audience, which will come across as United bias to us. Its not a conspiracy against boro or meant as a personal slight.

Miles more people dislike united than like them I'd have thought.
Very few people are meh about them imho.

True, but how many people that dislike United actually give a **** about boro? They may laught if we beat them but I doubt they'll be offended by GL dismissing us on BBC.

Yep, I would of hoped for that type of question. Let himself down with a lack of knowledge as did Wright the night before
