The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Reading Matchday Thread and Programme

If Connelly gets service there is goals in him you can see that. Dijksteel had a great half for me, always involved and aware whats going on around him.

They have came here to keep it tight and get men behind the ball and counter attack, it is always difficult to break those teams down. Once we get one we will get a couple though, decent half seemed to be more of a threat as it went on, step it up a gear here and they will struggle to keep us out for long.

It's been a little frustrating but reading are clearly playing for a point and sitting behind the ball.

I can't see them keeping us out for the entire game. If we get 1 another may well follow.

Need a kick up the arris at half time. Reading are just sitting in 10 behind the ball, so we need movement, quick decision making and commit their players then pass it. But instead I'm seeing static players, slow decision making and players running too much, or dithering about the pass.

Positive, we are dominating the ball, had some chances and half chances, I can see Balogun and Payero coming on second half, I think it's tailor made for Payero actually.
"10 behind the ball,"

Reading have done their homework.

Never take any game for granted in this League as Wilder was quick to emphasise yesterday. Reading beat Fulham at Craven Cottage this season. We need to be patient.
It's a strange one really - we do need to be patient, but also have to be brave enough to want to win it.

They maybe sitting behind the ball but for bad luck, or bad judgement, we could be 2, 3 up

Jones has really lacked a final ball today. Game is much more even now and we really need to find some inspiration.
