Rodrigo Muniz

Problem is in some games he's looked just as good as most of the others. But the others are our players. Why give him minutes ahead of Forss, or maybe even Hoppe when those lads are our assets and will be here next year?

To get your game as a loan signing you need to be clearly better than the alternatives but he's not. Think there's a decent player in there but he's still a bit raw and it's not in our interests to develop him.

Far too wasteful in front of goal IMO and not mobile enough. I think one of the main reasons for our turnaround in form is the fact we have taken him out of the starting line up.

Don't think he has impressed MC in training, hence lack of minutes. Probably a big few weeks for him to impress the coaching staff. Otherwise can see us trying to cut the loan short if we can. Same with Mowatt. I think these were all full season loans when they were announced but would be great if we could cut these two short. Can't see luongo being here after Jan when his short term contract ends.

Depends what happens over the next 4 weeks I reckon. People will have to show in training and they’ll be proper time to assess players

They won’t have been time to assess players with the games coming think and fast it’ll be more recovery and some play and I think that’s why we’ve seen a settled team

It has been a big call by Carrick to have him dropped as soon as he came in, more or less. I did not see that one coming, shows what I know about football. The team has been superb of late, though so I trust MC's judgment .. if Muniz goes back in January, so be it. I can't see him wanting to hang around given where he is at the moment, behind two other strikers.

I am looking forward to seeing what changes will be made as the windows go by under MC. The likes of Hackney coming through too has been a massive boost for us. So will be interesting to see who else we may look at in midfield, etc. Jones's confidence appears to be coming back gradually, too, and I honestly thought he was one of the players who under Wilder, seemed so damaged that a way back for him was looking like a long struggle, if there was a way back at all.

Whatever, anyway as I am just super pleased to see how we have played up until this WC break. Especially with most of our games being away, our form has been incredible.

I hope we pick up from where we left off when the season begins again. UTFB

Once Watmore is fit he is the obvious sub given his work rate and effort so Muniz may see even less action. Having said that there is a lot of games to cram in before the end of the season so Im sure if he stays he may get his chance

He is a good player and offers something the others don't. Akpom won't be on fire all season, people get injured, we need a squad. He'll play his part I'm sure
What is that something he offers that the others don't?
Akpom looks to have much better scoring instinct and link up play
Forss works harder and brings others into play
Watmore can carry the ball and is good at pressing
I'm not sure he does any of those things from what we've seen.

It all comes down to the fact Akpom, Forss and Hoppe are our player.
I really like Muniz but I think its pretty apparent Carrick wants his own players he knows are here for the long term
Watmore will probably come back over the break and I wouldn't be surprised to see Muniz go back in January.
I think I'd be content with Akpom, Forss, Watmore and Hoppe. Think Hoppe looked pretty good on Saturday!

I know Steffen and Giles aren't our platers but I think both will probably be made permanent, if not in January then definitely the summer.

Looked superb on his debut and 2nd game, real powerhouse with a touch of skill. Its weird as we weren't really playing good football just playing direct to him and it seemed to suit him. I think them 2 games he looked hungry and ready to prove a point was everywhere. I think as the goals didnt come his finishing became erratic and rushed and never really got going.

Seems to have given up a little bit. Gives away to many cheap fouls, doesn't retain possession like akpom when he comes on or look like scoring.

Harsh to judge him under wilder, maybe needs a run of games but will only get that if he bucks his ideas up when he gets off the bench.

I genuinely think Carrick just thinks the other players are better. And he's right. I doubt at this oment he's worried about which players are loaned in and which ones are permanently ours. He just wants results.

I agree, first couple of games he did look like he was going to be a powerhouse but it quickly became apparent that he wasn't going to score enough goals. He's had plenty of chances, mainly free headers, that he's missed and cost us points.

100%. If we're going down the development route asa club then it doesn't make sense to be developing other team's players.
