Places you’d wished to visit but never did?

I think mine has to be Tehran. Maybe it’s because of its political system or the incredible history it has within its borders which has me fascinated with wanting to visit. Unfortunately, the desire to go probably will be put on hold until the system changes.

Good call, also Samarkand and other silk road cities. There's so little I know about that part of the world and would like to educate myself.

Margate.

Good call, though would like to experience the whole of Iran. In my working days I was invited over by the University of Tehran to speak on my specialist area. Given the regime in charge, I could not justify going, but still harbour some regret about missing the opportunity.

Beijing is horrible; I really didn't like it there. However it did give me to of my best ever "wow" moments whilst travelling. One was walking through Tiananmen Square and thinking about what transpired there. the second was getting a bus to the Great Wall. Both stunning in very different ways.

Leptis in Libya. I lived relatively nearby for a couple of years. Won't be going anywhere near there any time soon...

I’d really like to go to some football games in South America. The picture of Racing and Independiente always fascinate me. They are so different.
The atmosphere always looks great aswell.
