    Fiddler from Horslips, who were a huge Celtic rock band in Ireland, was from Middlesbrough. Think he was called Charles O'Connor. Ran an antiques shop in Whitby afterwards.

    Does anyone remember a story in the papers about Graeme Souness being fined for littering in Hutton Rudby or somewhere when he was a player here? Or did I dream it?

    Thought exactly the same as most on here watching it last night, so glad I'm not the only one. He's offside and his only purpose in being there is to block off the keeper. Couldn't believe the unanimity of the pundits saying the goal should have stood. Anyway, it didn't, and I enjoyed watching...

    London tips for kids

    We stayed quite close and changed from DLR to underground there, unless I'm mistaken. There's a small playground directly outside the station that our kids enjoyed when we passed. Handy for a little break. You could but slices of pizza etc from a little deli-type shop there.
