 Nah, we did this in Thornaby as well. You’ve just awakened a great memory.

    Steve Gibson's fmttm Q and A - Thursday

Great that it’s happening and well done for organising Rob (y) Shame it’s not streaming, I’d happily kick in a fiver to watch. I don’t quite understand what you mean by we all know how these things work? Unless you mean he’ll be less guarded if it’s not being recorded? For me, I think it’s more...

    FA Cup replays scrapped.

It’s a sad thing. Someone did the numbers somewhere and worked out that it averages about one L1 or below team who get a replay against a PL team every season, so a windfall of about £1m. That’s a lot for a L1 club, transformative for a non-league team as it can pay for them for 5 years. So yeah...

    FA Cup replays scrapped.

It’s a great point. If you whinge about fixture congestion then take your first team squad to Australia or Japan or Saudi for a few money spinning friendlies, either mid season or after, you’ve forfeited your right to whinge about fixture congestion.

"Are you kidding me!?!" - Great catch

 Made me laugh and got me thinking. Apart from the fact that I can’t ice skate, I reckon the one I’d least like to play because of difficulty and pain would be NFL. So fast and so violent.

    Magazines You Miss

Bit of a magazine nerd, Your Sinclair was my favourite. The one I really miss, and that has never been replaced, was Time Out with its comprehensive and brilliant listings of things to do. If I arrived in London or Barcelona or New York, first thing I would do would be buy a copy of Time Out...

You are Kieran Scott, what would you do?

One word (and I’m serious): ChubaAkpomOnLoan

    Marten de Roon

Some career the Wavebreaker has had after he left us. Three seasons in the Champions League for an unfashionable club, 50 caps for Holland, loads of other European football. Always impressed when I watch him.

Playing Out from the Back without Quality

I agree with OP. Most teams do it because it’s flavour of the month and the numbers must suggest it’s the best way to play football. But so many goals now are absolute gifts caused by the technically worst players on the pitch being caught out with the ball in areas where it’s near enough a...

Kieran Scott’s recruitment really coming to fruition now

Yep. Can see quite clearly with OP’s list how one gamble that massively pays off, pays for 10 more. Trick is choosing the right player to sell and holding onto the rest long enough to make an impact on the pitch. It’s a great sign that there’s a few real gems, not easy when you’re shopping...

Starmer is a lying rat/Corbyn was chuffing useless - discuss

Corbyn is a well-meaning backbench protester type, heart in exactly the right place with many good, if relatively radical ideas, but his naivety leaves a sour taste in far too many people’s mouths. Starmer is a serious, highly competent person and politician who is currently 27 points ahead of...

    Latte Lath

I hate to say it, =jonny_greenings_sock&o=date']but I was right 😁 Reality is that we play with one striker. If you're going to invest a lot in a player you have to give them chance to play and develop. Lath's ability and sharpness always seemed obvious to me, maybe not to others, but I...

    New Liverpool manager agreed

Yeah, there’s hardly any. Ferguson - Moyes - LVG Mourinho - Avram Grant lol - Scolari Wenger - Emery - Arteta, who got it right in the end Spurs went from top 4 with Harry Redknapp to AVB and Tim Sherwood, then from Poch to Mourinho and Nuno Keegan - Gullit - Robson - Souness...
