What have Coventry done differently to us?

I would agree with most of that but it is a bit harsh to say that the "Scott players with the exception of Forss" didn't convince. That only leaves Hoppe. So one did well and one didn't. I wouldn't count Conteh as he wasn't signed as a first team player and pretty much went straight out on loan...

These were the signings. Which of them were unconvincing scott signings? Liam Roberts Darragh Lenihan Tommy Smith Marcus Forss Matthew Hoppe Matt Clarke These were the loans, I would say two of them were top drawer for us. Steffen Muniz Giles Mowatt

What sports were you good at?

Table Tennis, mainly because I had really quick reaction times. I actually had a European ranking number when I was 17. It was a very high number, but still a number 🙂 My claim to fame was developing a new serving technique. Problem was, the club I was a member of's training night clashed with...

    What are British values?

Followed by a lone voice somewhere in the background shouting "Sack the juggler".

I might have been whooshed, but what are you on about?

    Dyksteel

That one is unfair. If he hadn't allowed Gnoto to pull away from him he wouldn't have been doing his job properly at that point. He held the defensive line perfectly to isolate Gnoto in an offside position.

    "These things even themselves out"

Well you can really. That is the moment the ball leaves the Leeds player's head on its way to Summerville. Summerville is clearly onside at that point. I'm not sure what more you would need. Easy enough to watch it on the highlights and pause it if you want.

    "These things even themselves out"

It wasn't Rutter, the big shout for offside was when Summerville received the ball in the build up. But Thomas was playing him on.

    Bamford Celebration

It was about 9 months after the play-off final, he went to Palace first.

Dijksteel with his bandage. Jones with his face mask. Both at their peak. Those were the days!

    Coventry v Man Utd

Before VAR no-one ever looked for body parts being millimetres beyond the last defender. It would have seemed ridiculous and pedantic. I think the bigger question should be whether or not that margin of measurement should be classed as offside. If it is then VAR will always flag it, as it should.

    Coventry v Man Utd

I know, but without the precision of VAR analysis I very much doubt it would have been picked up on TV. I actually think VAR could and should be a good thing, and very often is. But the clamour for its introduction wasn't because of offsides like this one being missed.

Aynsley Pears error against Sheffield Wednesday.

There always has been too many holes in Blackburn.

    Coventry v Man Utd

Again, this would only have been complained about 5 yrs ago if it was ruled offside. The TV still frames would show the players level. Without the VAR lines nobody would discuss the length of a toe being offside.
