I genuinely think that the Red Wall fell not because the voters thought that the Tory policies were fantastic, but more that Labour had taken these areas for granted for far too long.

I see your point but I was just saying that the same people who are saying that we'll turn in to a police state if this bill goes through are the same who wanted people punishing for breaking lockdown rules.

I agree with the right to protest and I have reservations about the bill, however the violence I will utterly condemn and it has no place within our society.
