Grand National

If you apply a journalist set of rules, a guy called nick mordin, it will eliminate about half the field that have very little chance of winning. If you want the rules I'll post them here for you.

Just find a bookie and give him some money. Then walk away. It's the same effect.
The grand national, over time it's one of the easiest races to win money in. You won't win every year but if you win one in 6 or 7 your in profit. People assume its anybodies race. In truth there are about 10 horses that actually have a chance. I seldom bet on horses anymore but I have a phenomenal record in the national.

Ive only ever put money on two horses in the grand national, Brown Trix and Roll a joint. Both died. I no longer bet.

What kind of currency were you using? Most horses can easily take the weight of a full grown man sitting on their back but you just put money on to them and that was enough to kill them? Those must have been some really heavy coins.
