Ex Pfizer chief executive talks about Covid

A very interesting, if long watch

Strange one this as he was wrong about masks, wrong when he argued the reason the R rate came down last year was due to us having achieved herd immunity and looks to be wrong about the new types of vaccine being dangerous based on the evidence so far and lots of studies.

Oh look Funky chicken desperately finding yet another anti mask anti vaccine post there’s a shock.

Btw there’s several historians that have denied the Holocaust it doesn’t make them right either.

I guess we’ll find out in the long run - the idea that healthy young people, children in particular need a vaccine to protect them from something that has zero effect on them is just nuts

But it’s not about the young is it? It’s about the old, sick and vulnerable that those young people may infect. Show me somewhere Yeadon has been right and his arguments may hold more sway but he has been wrong on everything related to the pandemic. I wonder how many people have watched that and other stuff online and it has influenced them not to get vaccinated, not wore a mask etc and then they have died, infected someone who has died or become seriously ill.

What do you mean it’s not about the young - when have we ever vaccinated the entire world population against anything ? Why haven’t we vaccinated the entire world population against flu or anyone of host of far more deadly pathogens

Of course we have - we regularly vaccinate the world's population (or at least as many as possible) against all kinds of highly contagious and deadly diseases - it's just that when it's not a newly-emerged pathogen like this is, we do it by vaccinating people when they're children.

Measles for instance, has a worldwide vaccination rate of around 85% according to the WHO. Smallpox was eradicated by vaccinating the entire world. We have got very close with polio, with just a couple of countries left, where the vaccination drive has faltered.

Incidentally, I can't believe you're trying that tired old trope of comparing flu to coronavirus - and especially in terms of vaccination where they're not even remotely comparable.

Billions upon billions have been spent on the vaccines, shutting down the economy to protect the elderly and furlough to disguise the unemployment figures.

Its a nasty virus, but the governments of the world need to maximise the impact of Covid otherwise they are in danger of people thinking they have over-reacted.

I think Covid will be played on by the politicians for as long as possible.

Yes and it was close to 100% and we were in sight of wiping this awful scourge from the face of the earth... that is until bloody anti vax movement undid all that hard work.

...and now measles is once again on the rise even in the west.

I wonder why

he’s a total utter complete dangerous crank con artist if the highest order. Ignore, he’s been exposed on Twitter and social media months ago. He’s an absolute complete crank.
He started off appearing credible about 9 months ago but quickly got absolutely shot down and went full on conspiracy theory.

As somebody who got taken in by his bull**** initially, I cannot stress enough how absolutely vile Yeadon is.
And a massive, massive islamophobe/racist as well.

many he wasn’t Pfizer chief executive.
he basically headed up a research and development department and lost his job. But he’s happy for people to misrepresent his significance in the organisation.

I genuinely thought you were referring to Johnson there Fabio,

He was exposed on Twitter abd he tried to pretend that the islampohobic tweets had been planted to discredit him, but that was nonsense, they were still up for all to see. He eventually left and after a couple of months he’s being given a platform again.
You can read about it here, but be warned, it’s pretty vile and disgusting, some of the stuff he said.
