Repeat after me ‘bald, fraud’

Yes that's true. City do generally appear quite popular on here though, for whatever reason (Pep perhaps). I bet if I slagged off Chelsea all the time I wouldn't have to explain myself half as much. The truth is I don't like Chelsea either, having lived in Fulham too. I guess it all depends on personal circumstances. :)
There's no doubt about that!

Up until now his European record at City has been poor. Sorry but that's a fact.
To win leagues you've got to be the best.

To win cups, you've also got be lucky.

Real Madrid are in no way the best club side in Europe for half the years they've won the CL recently.

Re the original Fraudiola thread on the old site, I copied and pasted Pep's achievements list from his wiki. It was so long it nearly broke the site 😁

I would say City's 100 point seasons are as impressive as any achievement. The point I always make about City too, and this is as much the boardroom as Pep, is what they've done with players who would not be on anyone's obvious galactico list. If you had unlimited money like they do, 9 out of 10 clubs would be signing Neymars and Pogbas and Modrics.

The list is so long, but no-one on here with City's chequebook would have said nah, give me Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Vincent Kompany, Mahrez, John Stones, Ruben Diaz, Laporte, Leroy Sane, Ederson, Rodri.... And Pep's made a team that's broken most top flight records out of all of them. Even Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva improved big time under him.

Bang on

I honestly think when he retires, we'll be looking at the most decorated and the greatest manager of all time.

Well, he is still searching for a CL title (post-Barca). I’ve never been in the “bald fraud” camp but you do wonder if he’ll ever get a better chance?

If they go and sign the likes of Kane and or Grealish in the summer then I wouldn’t be surprised to see them playing in next years final.

Absolutely over thought it tonight. Some strange decisions in the starting 11.

He's walked the league. Why f*ck about it with the side? Foden has been amazing wide left and he's brought him into CM. No holding CM for only the 5th time this season.

Then he's also started Sterling who's been so out of form. Just strange. I know they've won the league without a forward but it looks so unbalanced.

I think its on Pep. Just pick the side that's served you so well.

Certainly fxxxxd up tonight
Wrong team
Awful substitutions
After his team selection fxxk up 1st sub should have been Sterling off after half an hour Rodri on and Foden wide left. Then to take Silva of was just a joke.
Tried to be too clever

It's hard to disagree with that, but given the absolutely massive resources available at the club's he's managed, his one underachievement is probably the Champions League.
Still underachieving in the CL. Poor from city and pep tonight.

What are the going to do now, chuck another £200 -300m at it?

It's hard to argue with his record in the domestic leagues but there is definitely something up when he meets a team set up by someone with a bit of tactical nous.

He’s an unbelievable manager, one of the best of all time. But I think when it comes to huge games sometimes he does things different so he can win it in a ‘pep’ way and everyone can say he’s a genius and how brave and different he is etc and like tonight when it doesn’t come off it does make you wonder, if he just played his best team and most suited players would it of been a different outcome? He will of ***ed a lot of city fans off tonight with that line up

If Pog wasn't banned he'd be all over this thread :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

For what it is worth I love Pep, but I have no idea what he was playing at tonight. Totally over thought it.

It's becoming harder and harder to tout him as the best manager in the world when he's spent over a billion and can't win the Champion's League without Messi.

Yeah he’d def have a chance, but there is some doubt over them signing those players and, even then, it’s a knockout where anything can happen.

Yeah the decision to leave out a defensive midfielder was strange. Tuchel definitely got his tactics right, for the third time.

Well three times in a month he’s been done over by a (generally) inferior manager. He needs to stop stuff like this happening.

You’re answering your own questions.

Of course he’s one of the greatest managers of all time - and in this era.

His record in domestic leagues, finals, throughout his career is incredible.

Tonight’s defeat will be hard for him to take because of the lineup he fielded. But 1 swallow doesn’t make a summer.
