One Boro ITK claims Neil is off

Hull was unfortunate, we only had 15 fit outfield players and 3 of those have played about 3 games for us between them.
Home games v Peterborough and Barnsley to come could put us back on track...
Dont bank on it. Remember last year when we had two apparent easy home games including rotherham and we got tonked 3 nowt.

Seems to be a lot of smoke around at the moment and the club is very quiet on the socials.

I fully expect a statement tomorrow now.

No way them lads would share that if they didn’t know he was gone. They wouldn’t have the b***ks. Must admit I found it very funny though.

The modern day player rebellion 😂

But it just goes to show the lack of discipline in the squad which probably stems from the coaching team.

Yeah it’s kind of shocking but also funny at the same time. It does tell me somethings happening though. They obviously are care free for a reason.

It's a difficult one but I must confess I've never liked Warnock and really didn't want him as our manager. However, stating this doesn't achieve anything constructive so I've kept schtum.

On the other hand who'd want our club to be sacking managers every year? I keep faith with Steve Gibson, without his continued support we wouldn't exist at all. UTB.

My gut feeling is replacing a manager every 12 months is more a negative than a positive. Watford have had relegations too. For the money invested they have underachieved say compare them with Brighton or Burnley or Palace. It must also be a very expensive process as you still pay the sacked manager if under contract.

In the end, results don’t lie. Whatever you think about recruitment the more time Warnock has been here, the worse we’ve got. It’s also not a smart move to pick fights with your own chairman and recruitment team and give it the old “If they think someone else can do a better job, then good luck”, when you’re not backing it up on the pitch.

If I was Steve Gibson I’d look at it and go:

Are we challenging for promotion this season? Not a hope on current form.

Is he building for next season? No, he’s off regardless.

Is the team improving, can you see solid foundations and a long-term style emerging? Nope.

Are the young players improving? To an extent some of them are yeah, like Bola and Dijksteel. Jones has been brilliant. Tav and Fry, somewhere in the middle, they’re not going backwards but it’s not like Adama under Pulis. Other assets like Payero and Spence are probably worth more to MFC as assets than Neil Warnock, and they’re being deliberately ignored.

Is he making the most of the squad at his disposal? Definitely not, in fact he complains about it at every opportunity, openly doesn’t want a few of the players. This is not a low end Championship squad.

Is there a better manager available right now? Impossible to know.

On balance, I think it depends if the next guy has been identified and is available now, because Steve Gibson doesn’t really do short term appointments.

Do you remeber when a Boro player (through a friend) used to leak the team out the night on here before a game under Southgate - now that was lack of dicipline.
