Like another poster said, I've never been so happy for someone scoring in a long time. I was absolutely buzzing for him.

He's showing more to his game that I thought he had - isn't afraid to stick a foot in or go up for a header, he's got a good build on him too and he doesn't get bullied.
 
His positional and distribution sense has gone up ten fold in the last three games— he’s on a different wave length to many of our players I feel, but he’s definitely a team player so one would hope, his play and the team gradually improves over the course of the season. Anyone know who scouted him?
 
He looks like he's going to be a cut above the championship (if he isn't already). Some of his play was top drawer.

Have to laugh that Warnock seemed mostly enthused about how many headers he won though. He's trolling the fans there surely? 😂
 
I was always a bit confused when people were worried about his strength, as from what I have seen of it, the Argentinian league is pretty brutal at times. Getting used to the pace of the game is fair enough though and he does look a fair bit happier now than he did a few weeks ago,

El Middlesbrough del cordobés Martín Payero ganó este sábado 2 a 0 ante Cardiff gracias al aporte goleador del ex Talleres, quien así anotó su primer tanto en Inglaterra.
El volante que llegó desde Banfield jugaba su segundo encuentro como titular en la segunda división del fútbo inglés y pudo coronar con un festejo su cada vez mejor momento.
El Boro se había puesto en ventaja gracias al gol de Andraz Sporar a los 35 minutos del primer tiempo. Payero había tenido alguna chance antes de que a los 74 llegara el suyo, con un remate abajo que dejó sin defensa al arquero.
Boro se encuentra en la posición 7 del Championship, con 21 unidades en 14 partidos. El torneo es liderado por el Bournemouth con 31 puntos.

To be honest I can only recall a clamour for his inclusion in the team, which NW resisted.

Which, on reflection, was probably the right call.
