FAO Those who attended the game today

Thought we were excellent in the first half, thoroughly deserved the lead and were unfortunate not to have more.
Tavernier was brilliant.

Then the referee robbed us.

The second half was poor, I thought we missed Sporar and both Coburn and Ikpeazu looked miles off it.

Is there a new manager in charge or was this a Warnock swansong? Generally poor all over the park, not the managers fault but this team Warnock assembled is dire.

We need Jones as an attacking force. Felt he was wasted as a wing back.

New GK absolutely required. No 1nr transfer requirement in January.

I felt there was very little difference between how we’ve approached games this season and today.

hoping CW has learnt something today and makes some bold decisions. 532 doesn’t work for me

Good 1st half hour. Missed some great chances which we paid for ultimately. 2nd half was a bit of a snorefest. I thought we missed the opportunity of getting at Millwall's No.5 who was on a yellow. Ref was awful.

Saw it on a stream we looked bright first half an hour, passed the ball well in final 3rd and then they got a dodgy equalizer. second half was one of the worst i have seen in long time the midfield was appalling. What wilder needs must learn crooks, tav, and howson as a trio does not work. Howson cant play as holding midfielder, he hasnt the legs and Tav was absolutely hopeless. So all in all we played pretty much as we would have under Warnock, with the same formation, same weak midfield and same poor result. Fans expecting poor players to turn into good ones because wilder is here are in for a rude awakening. The squad is weak and unbalanced unless thats addressed we are destined for mediocrity.

Agree mostly. Except we looked more solid and orgainsed. Wasnt worried when they had the ball, and to be fair it took a dodgy ref and an unlucky deflection for them to score. Howson is finished and replacing him and Gk vital in January

Watmore worked his socks off and was MOTM in the first half by a country mile.
He tired (understandably) and we were crying out for a replacement to come on that we just don't have.
First half generally very good and we were definitely fired up.

Tav flatters to deceived Definitely much more to come from him. Had a couple of good shots on goal but dropped his usual clangers.
Overall Bamba would be my MOTM for the full game - he had more touches than anyone else I'd guess.
Goodness knows where we'd be right now if he hadn't signed:unsure:

Tav played on the left and was much more threatening.
We should have been 3 -0 up after 10 minutes, but hit it at the keeper .
Their keeper made some decent saves.
They improved second half and made a game of it .
Millwall are above us and are not a bad side, so a point is not bad, but our finishing needs to improve.
Daniels distribution was poor on occasions.
I expect similar from PNE Tuesday, so hopefully we can get some finishing practice in prior to the game.

feel a bit flat after that, we had the better chances, especially first half and should really have won but it is not any improvement on Warnock's time. I do realise it is early days tho

Tav brilliant?

nonsence!

Could definitely see we were being asked to play a pressing game. Thought we done well early doors but you need a very fit squad to play like that and we tired second half I though Watmore done well - a pressing game plays to his strengths and he done some good runs that really stretched Millwall. Though Tav had his best game in a while. Looked to try and get hold of the game and heavily involved Sporar going off made us weaker, Josh Coburn really isn’t strong enough and really couldn't hold a ball up so we seen it coming back every time. Hernandez was a revelation when he came in and made us far more dangerous- would definitely start him Tuesday. All in all it was OK performance and you could sort of see what Wilder was looking to do and hopeful for the future with a fitter better conditioned team with one or two improvements. Bola did well on return and Peltier had a strong game for me.

We looked really good until they scored, and that should never have been allowed. Their goal knocked the wind out of our sails a bit and although they rarely threatened we didn’t really have the quality, or the players on the bench, to go on and win the game.

Daniels was solid enough, so no issues there.

Tav had his best game for a while in CM.

Jones was decent enough at RWB, but it’s not his best position and we didn’t get to see his attacking ability.

We really missed Sporar in the second half, hopefully he’s ok for Tuesday.

Hernandez looked bright when he came on, but he’s also not a wing back.

We looked knackered in the second half and it was clear after about an hour that the game would just fade out.

The referee was shïte and him ignoring the assault on McNair in the lead up to their goal was disgraceful.

Positive signs, but I think we need an overhaul if we are to play the way Wilder wants us to play.

Really should have had more than one goal

Watmore's chance after 12 seconds I would expect him to take at any other time in the game.

I also though Sporar gave the keeper too much of a chanc w from Crooks's pass. Decent save bur shouldn't have had a chance.

Arguably their keeper was motm, and Daniels didn't have a save to make.

I don't really blame the ref; we had enough chances for that not to have mattered.

I always say its about opinions and I rarely say anything bad, but heres mine, which hopefully doesn't offend! Haha!

First half was a lot better but as per usual this season, we take our chances and we win the the game comfortably. As per usual, we didn't.

The second half was abysmal. No urgency at all and the players just drifted through 45 odd minutes. Truly shocking.

To mention a few players who have been spoken about tonight amongst the lads:

Sol Bamba - what a player! Absolute warrior. Continue and he's in danger of being thought of in the Mowbray, Southgate mould.

Lee Peltier - Very, very underrated in my opinion - looks a very good player. Doesn't do a lot wrong.

Tav - best game in a while and looked busy. Tired later on.

Coburn - was very surprised when he was dropped but looked out of his depth. No issue with that though, a young lad who will get better.

Sporar - some on here the other week were saying he was premier league class. I just don't see it myself. Spends most of the game on the deck. The premier league would swallow him up and spit him out. For me, seems to sum us up at the moment - an absolute soft touch.

I have no doubt though that Wilder will get the best out of this team / squad though! UTB
