Great win today, Warnock supporters need to be very sheepish

I liked Warnock, he was entertaining for a bit and seems like a decent fella, but his tenure had ran its course and we're seeing now what was missing. He also soured my view of him with his comments when he left.

Onwards and upwards though, lots to be positive about.
Agree, he was brought in to do a job and keep us in the division, a stop gap if you will, and absolutely did that job well but it does need something a little different to make the next step forward and hopefully we will see that come to fruition, the early signs were there yesterday, still work to do on fitness and a bit of moving things around in January, I genuinely think we still have a chance of the play off’s now, with still over half of the season left and a much better chance of that now.

Err Neil had us in the play off zone despite a massive injury list. Those injuries caught up with us and we couldn't sustain the form. No surprise then when Bola and Djiksteel come back in our performance picks up.
We've won one game under Wilder against a pour side, let's wait until we play someone decent before we start cockadoodledooing shall we...Thanks
👍
So the performance yesterday was because Bola and Dijksteel were playing?

Huddersfield had only lost 2 at hone, they aren’t exactly a poor side. Worth remembering we hadn’t beaten a side above 17th this season which makes yesterday’s result more impressive

Ok let me tell you why. A handful of posters have already been questioning the Wilder appointment and results - up to yesterday. My thread was quite simply to show how ludicrous this view was. However some seem determined to hang on to our recent past- as if this was something to claim this was a credible part of our history.

If you think I am not absolutely delighted with yesterday’s win - nothing could be further from the truth. The football played, seeing the ball passed with regularity, well it’s a far cry from some of the garbage witnessed and proof this group of players is better than some have judged.

We will go places with Wilder - and I for one is delighted to see a brighter future

Stop interacting with the boo boy, he's not picked his dummy up since he spat it out a few weeks ago.

Though it is hilarious to see the biggest ra-ra on this board, who would complain about absolutely any criticism of the team or club, now regularly having pops at the team and manager without a hint of self awareness.

In many ways, it reminds me of Karanka taking over from Mowbray.

Mowbray made some shrewd signings, and in many ways he'd set the foundations for the new manager, but he had taken us as far as he could.

It was the same scenario with Warnock. He made some shrewd signings, in the likes of Bamba, Crooks and Watmore, and helped to bring on Djiksteel and Bola.

Karanka came in and shored up the defence; made us difficult to beat. Wilder has come in and done the opposite; he's improved our attacking play. The big similarity between him and Karanka is that he's come in with a plan, and tried to give the team an identity.

I think we'll probably only just miss out on the play-offs this season, but there will be something to build on for sure.

Yes I would say Bola and Djiksteel playing and getting back to full fitness had a big bearing on the result yesterday...
Neil didn't have that luxury at the end of his tenure and the know it all's were predicting a bad defeat against WBA a 'decent side' and we get a great point and could have won it.....Now all of sudden everyone's crowing about a 2-1 win at Huddersfield as if we've won the Champions League and saying that proves Warnock should have gone....it's ridiculous 🙄

Thought you had me on ignore ? Don't tell me you took it off to have a quick look and now it's back on again 🤣 Stick to Onebore and give us all a break 👍🤣

Both Monk and Pulis have a better percentage win rate than Warnock but I don't see the usual suspects harping on about them? Just this weird Warnock obsession. I respect the guy, he did a job, but I wasn't impressed with how he carried himself on the touchline or hung out his players to dry in public. In Wilders first 3 games we've seen a definite improvement, played some really good, flowing football and been unlucky not to have 7 points instead of 4.

We are looking like a team - thank God. The recent months it has been obvious to the majority we were standing still at best, going backwards at worst,

Yet still a few posters felt the need to unreservedly back Warnock - without any solid base to back this up.

We are now witnessing the team is better than some of the lamentable performances witnessed under Warnock. To not be fit enough to compete is a truly ridiculous fact. Can we last 90 plus minutes? Not yet. However the style and pattern of play is encouraging - something we could only dream under Warnock. I wonder if those who steadfastly backed Warnock have the balls to stand up and admit they got it wrong?

I would doubt this - but hey, who knows?!
I thought the only kind of supporter on this forum was a Boro supporter.

What about all of the games when both were available and we still looked awful?

If you watched the game yesterday give me one example of a game under Warnock when we played that well/passed the ball like that

I think you are seeing what you want to see the only comments I've seen are tongue in cheek and have had there desired effect which was to wind people up. This thread is just very unnecessary and we should be talking about what was a great win.
