Hiya everyone,
Bit late I know, but better late than never eh. Anyway I just wanted to come back on here to say heyup, wish you all a great 2022 and give yous a quick health update too:

First of all - Its now 12 years since I started on the ode chemo and the subsequent fundraising for CRUK by all you lovely Boro fans. I’ll never ever forget your huge & very very kind contributions in helping to raise a whopping £10,000.
Can’t believe 12 years have gone by tbh. It seems to have flown by. Has it for you guys & gals too?

By the very nature of the above timescales it doesn’t take a genius to work out that it’s also 12 years now since my 3rd cancer diagnosis - secondary breast cancer in my lungs & liver, which is terminal.
I’m very happy & proud & relieved to tell you that all my CT scans since have shown that the tumours are all still completely stable! Not grown any at all! Woohoo!!

To put my cancer journey into some perspective from the very start when I was 31 years old:
It is now 24 years since my first breast cancer diagnosis and 19 years since my second.
During the last 24 years, sadly I’ve lost many lovely friends to this horrible disease, which has been truely devastating. I totally realise that I am very fortunate and I deffo count my blessings every day. Three years ago, my best friend Amanda (who some of you have met) was diagnosed with breast cancer as well.
We’re now even more bosom buddies than we were before, lol.
Just a few months later, two other close friends also got the same breast cancer diagnosis’. Thankfully they have all gone thro treatment to remove the tumours followed by radiotherapy & chemotherapy. As a result of this, I’m dead happy to report that all three of them are doing really well and are in remission. Yey!

Anyhoo, reckon I’ve RAMbled on long enough.
Hope you are all good and looking forward to a happy 2022.
TTFN

All the best Blondie x

My but it is good to hear you are still doing well. I feel humbled to "speak" to you after some of the acrimony on here between our two clubs and their fans. Yet here you are to remind us (and we needed it) that there is more to unite us than to divide us. Keep fighting the good fight.

Peace and love.

Wonderful to hear from you B and really promising news on your health. Woohoo indeed. Its been such a long time and loads gone on since as a group we had beers in the Alexandra.

Happy new year Carmen great to see you
