Brian Clough Statue Petition

The Statue of Cloughie should be moved from Albert Park to Riverside Stadium so it's safe.. Do you agree?
Love the romantic idea about Brian Clough walking through Albert Park with his boots over his shoulders going to Ayresome Park & having a statue of him doing so but in reality, to have it fenced off for one reason or another is totally wrong

The BC statue along with a new George Camsell statue, be moved to the Riverside

we should have statues of famous Boro players dotted around the stadium grounds, money been an issue I know, but that is what we should be aiming for

Besides the statues the ground should have drawing of other ex Boro players who have contributerd towards our history all around the ground, that would look cool

we should name the bloody stands whilst we are at it :) :) :)
IMHO, as we could go on all day about favourite players/managers, the only ones stands for me to named after a person fom the Boro would be Steve Gibson himself & Bruce Rioch, we are where we are because of those two

the brownlee end :)

Add a new one every 5 years or so. Start with Camsell, then onto Delepenha (first black player), Alf Common (worlds first £1,000 player), Tiny Tim Williamson (record appearances for Boro), Steve Bloomer (england legend), Jackson Ewbank (first goal scorer), Fenton, Peacock, Jim Platt, Graeme Souness, Willie Maddren, Stuart Boam, Sir Bruce of Rioch, Bernie, then finally onto the modern legends Juninho and Southgate being the obvious ones.
Then in 2312 when we've done this lot we can start a new list. Wonder if Wilder would be on it, or Leo? Still, at one every 5 years we've got long enough to think about it.

Bo the statue is in tne right place. It was actually my mother and myself that had the idea in the first place of the Cloughie statue in Albert Park as if walking from home to Ayresome Park. His ground. He didnt play at the Riverside. He is also overlooking the site of Reas cafe where he first dated his wife Barbara and also where he met with Peter Taylor after training. They talked through their ideas that would later come to fruition as a successful management team.
The park is surely where he should be walking. He needs repairing not moving.

Has it been vandalised? If it has I am not aware of it. And Bernie Slaven himself doesn't seem sure why the fences are there. The statue is on the route from his home on Valley Rd, to Ayresome Park so why not just repair it and leave it where it is?
If the statue was of Bernie he'd want a f*****g fence.

iF WE

If we were to have a new statue of anyone, first in the queue for recognition without doubt should be George Camsell.
Did you see Brian Clough play ?
I did. He's the best striker I've seen.
But then, I'm biased.

Incidentally, I remember the statue being repaired. Possibly a few years ago. It was a crack appeared in the metal of his right knee. The rumour was it was the place of the crucial ligament injury that finished him at Roker Park.

This the third time they've had to repair it, and it's only been there since 2007, so either it's shoddily made or somebody is damaging it.

Surely Wilfy Mannion as well Erimus 🤔
As I say magic, as good as Wilf was they'll be many who didnt see him play who would think others they've who got us to cup finals etc deserve as much to be named, as I say its all about opinions & we could go on & on

IMHO, Steve Gibson for what hes done for the club & Bruce Rioch for giving us umber seasons after guiding us through our darkest hour in our history

Ally Brownlee is a great shout too
