When the mighty Boro travelled to Chesterfield for a 2nd divison clash, we started the new year (both teams debut season) losing 2 of the 1st 3 matches & our 1st meeting with Chesterfield didnt improve that stat, not a good day at the office at all as Chesterfield thrashed us 7-1 with Charlie Pugh scoring our consolation goal
John Robsons team went the whole season without winning an away game, finishing 14th in the table, on 24 points, 6 points above 2nd bottom Luton, Chesterfield fared a lot better finishing in 7th place
