Ted Lasso

Just watched Season 1 and surprised how good it was as I definitely went into it with a closed mind. An earlier thread on here when season 1 hit had a lot of negative comments in there which put me off watching it last year and wish Id ignored them - there is a massive underlining message in the series and one a lot of drama programmes don't explore. True friendship, mentoring, and the good in people.

Best series Ive seen for a long time. Laugh out loud and emotion too

Really good can't wait for the new series.

Been watching The End of the F****** World for about the third time and Wayne on Amazon Prime about three times now as well. Both are superb if anyone hasn't watched them.

Somewhere Boy. Brand-new drama coming in October to Channel 4 and All 4 by the makers of TEOTFW is one to watch out for.

It's fantastic. You'd have to be dead inside to not enjoy it. It's genuinely funny, clever funny too. But it's just plain nice. If you're not laughing out loud, you'll have a big smile on your face because it's got a lot if heart. It's a show about people first, the footy stuff is just a wrapper for that.

I've loved and watched it a few times, not sure where the negative comments come from to be honest.

Just about to start watching Bad Sisters as I love Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe and This Way Up especially) so will be interesting to see what that's like.

What negative comments? Everyone's saying they loved it.

Catastrophe was class! Seemed to fly under the radar a little. Very talented lady is Sharon Horgan.

I started it last week too after putting it off for so long thinking it wasn't for me. I initially added it to my list as I'm a big fan of Nick Mohammed. Really like it though. Great characters. Roy Kent (Keane 😉) is funny as.

A previous thread on it.

I personally found it cringey and didn't like the humour, but it's different strokes for different folks.
I watched it all in a day and found it decent enough, but was surprised by the rave reaction it was getting.

It's enjoyed by plenty of people and is very popular, so I accept my opinion differs on it.
