Whats happened to the internet commentary?

This commentary is very odd - the lack of crowd noise and his long silences mean there's no atmosphere. Sometimes he pauses for so long that I think the stream has gone down. And other times he'll simply say something like "Jones!" with no context as to what's actually happening.
 
To be fair, he might have been roped in at the last minute, and it's clearly harder than we all think it is.
