Chris Wilder I have complete confidence in him.

My only issue with him is that he absolutely cast iron bolted to one way of playing. Once teams figure you out you need to have the flexibility to change it up. When Sheffield United got figured out in the Premier League it ended really badly cos he wouldn’t change it.

I don't at the minute. I was hoping to see us play with more purpose. With players knowing what runs the others are going to make and being able to play quick combinations.
Id like it if we recognised when we are being put under too much pressure at the back. We are no where near good enough when pressed or when pressure is put on our midfielders receiving the ball from defence. Sometimes you have to go long. Even if you don't have a big fella up top - they're all pressed up, you can pick up the second ball if you push your players up and outnumber them.
Teams seem to have figured us out. Just press us and we'll collapse.
And I want to see us play for 90 minutes. This was a problem under Warnock and is still one under wilder. I think it's attitude rather than fitness.

I want it to work out for McGee but I’ve often worried that we have more chance of conceding a goal with him in the team last season . Maybe thatl change with run in the team after a pre season ,

He's great at receiving the ball in tight spaces on the half turn and he has a real eye for a through ball. He's also got a change of pace and can drift past a player.

I think he could yet develop his off the ball skills but for me you can't have him and Crooks in the same 3 man midfield unless you maybe had a prime Boateng playing between them.

Crooks would be ahead of Mcgree at the moment for goal threat and height at set peices.

Because we’re a disorganised shambles off the pitch ? Can see CW getting increasingly annoyed if signings don’t happen very quickly
Slightly harsh. Watched interviews today with about 5-6 PL managers and they were all saying how difficult it was to sign players during this window - I mean Eddie Howe was one, and if they can't get the players they want.....?? 😳😳

The situation at present is not ideal (to put it mildly) but at least today highlights the desperate need for 2xCM, 2xCF, LCB and an attacking/No. 10 MF who can link midfield and attack.

Yes it’s true, but Newcastle just can’t throw an unlimited amount of money at it, they have to comply with FFP and build a greater turnaround allow them to spend.

Sounds like aitor

I still love aitor, when it's good it's very good.

At this moment i would definitely take a promotion and then a slide down the ladder.

The key would then be to not give 50mill to an absolute snake for the rebuild.

Also, the advantage wilder has over karanka, which makes it a better watch, is that his plan a, and plan rest of the alphabet is attacking.

Just seen his post match interview. Wow, he was angry. Not seen him that visibly agitated and miffed before. Quite rightly, but clearly it hurt him today, which I find weirdly reassuring.
The fact HE not one of the coaches took the huddle showed how angry he was.

I dont blame Wilder for today. The players mentality is just so questionable. How can you play well v the baggies and put in a performance like that. Similar to Preston last season. The players are too comfortable and most have no pressure on their place in the team. Until we get more options for Wilder the players are just going to coast. Some need their noses putting out of joint. He gave Dijksteel both barrels post match.
