Tav starts for Bournemouth

gutted hes not here,,, gave him away for sure, 18mill would have been a decent amount , we have 1 point from 6 ... missing him from the team

This could get a terrible reaction lol. After the second half against West Brom. And the 1st half against QPR. I'm really not sure we should strengthen any more. We have a really weak spine, it will take a heck of a lot of fixing and work, more than at any point i can remember over the last few years. I would hate to throw the spence and tav money at this for us to fail miserably. I'd maybe consolidate this year now and just leave the signings where they are, let some younger players come through and strengthen the team naturally that way rather than through buy / loaning at huge fees, we need way too much work for promotion to be something that's on the table this year!

Does anybody know the structure of the add ons and the % of any resale? I hope this was done properly since should double what we have received so far.

I don’t agree but sort of know what you’re saying, it’s turned out to be quite a big rebuild. The whole spine of the team is being reset with a new GK, leader at the back, losing Tav is our engine in the middle and of course all the strikers.

I don’t think Chris Wilder’s going to hang around if we go WoodgateBall for a season, he’s too good for that and will get offers from the PL or ambitious Champ clubs.

I also don’t think we can go into a season with the squad as weak as this. Midfield is one injury away from a crisis and of course we’re desperately short up front.

I also think this should be Kieran Scott’s time to shine. We’re letting a lot of players go which means we’re committing to a rebuild. And you’d expect that we wouldn’t be letting the likes of Tav and Payero go if we weren’t very confident of replacing them with equal or better, not to mention the forwards.

It still makes no sense that we got more money for Spence than Tav. Bizarre.
Well Tav had certainly done more for us, which means that our view of the respective quality and market value of said players will be affected that way.

However from a neutral's point of view, Spence is 2 years younger and would be a shoo-in for most football fans Championship team of the season AND the biggest reason on the pitch behind Forest's frankly meteoric risk from 17th (think of our Woodgate season) to the Prem in a year?

Which would certainly influence the fees clubs are prepared to stump up somewhat.

Well given Bournemouth never get any higher that mid table and actively sacrifice cup games to concentrate on staying in the league.

I wouldn’t be too optimistic.

I hope it goes well for him. I've no gripe with Tav. Although agree 10 mil (rising to 12.5) seems suprisingly low.

I've not heard or read anything to suggest we have a sell on clause? Surely we have?

I was also surprised to see him on corner duties. Bloody awful with us 😂
