Oh man sad news, she’d fought breast cancer for a long time hadn’t she 😢 if you were a teenager when Grease came out as i was she was probably on your bedroom wall. RIP Olivia
 
Jeff Lynne may be appearing at the CC of the Commonwealth Games tonight. A connection with ONJ is that he wrote Xanadu. Such a great song. Sad but what a lovely lady she was.
 
Was in the same Eurovision Song Contest as Abba in 1974. Her song was very forgettable. Long Live Love.
 
Got bought up on musicals as having an older sister I had no control over the VHS films we watched but this is one of them films you couldn’t help but enjoy

I remember back in the day when National Express would put a video on for the journey, I was going from Manchester to Glasgow. Everyone on the coach turned up at daft o'clock in the morning in the pouring rain. The mood on the coach was not good. After about half an hour the TVs along the coach flickered into life and "Grease" started. By the end of the film everybody was singing along with smiles on their faces. The film finished and after about 5 minutes there was a chorus of "Put it on again", which they did. One of the best coach journeys of my life.

The song Physical was originally written for Rod Stewart by Aussie songsmith Steve Kipner but ONJ was looking out for a song (and video) to change her wholesome image she had acquired in Grease.

AAMOI the video was banned in many countries because it featured two naked men walking off hand in hand at the end.
