Middlesbrough between the Ruhr & Emsacher then.....It couldn't possibly be Hannes Wolf, could it? After all, Gibson doesn't want to turn us into Middlesbrough on the Rhein...

It’s not a good look if Carrick has knocked us back. Be interested to know the reasons why.Wonder if there is any truth in the Sky comments about Parker and Dyche. Dismissed it as bull**** earlier but maybe not.
I know what you mean but he did seem to get a lot out of players of possibly limited ability. To me that is good coaching and if you have that ability then thats half the battle. Relative to the size of the club and money spent no one can deny his success. The question I suppose is could he do it here with a slightly more expansive style to appease the natives. I would not see him as a Bruce or Warnock type of appointmentI just cannot see how he fits in with the Head of Football, no experienced signings, developing younger players type model we are meant to be on our way down now. One that has caused obvious problems with our previous two experienced 'big name' managers.
These two things sort of make me hope so, those are both big criticisms of previous mangers and you would think would be beneficial in the developing the signings given to him by the HoF & scouting set-up and for promoting from within from our expensive academy. Or maybe I'm just clutching at straws! It couldn't possibly be Hannes Wolf, could it?
Turned down the Blackburn and Burnley jobs in the summer apparently.Apparently Carrick has had other offers in his time away, could be that he just doesn't want to return to football, rather than being a specific Boro related issue?
I'd have Wolf over any other candidate mentioned - fingers crossed!
At this point I would take Keith O’Neil

Bang on. Forest will be the next Derby.Good debate
..enjoyed reading it..ultimately we all want the same thing and all roads lead to Rome....or Derby...depending how it the road is travelled...
Weser - starts with a ‘W’ and is five letters.. could the River Weser be our new manager?Other German rivers are available to use as a pointless analogy
Is this all a ploy for us to warm to Rob Edwards again when the alternatives are Lee and Leo, God help us!
