Madness in Albert Park

Very close to houses for an open air gig isn’t it??

That Rock the NE said “subject to permit”, so it’ll be interesting to see if it goes ahead.

Odd that this is announced just as I'm wallowing in the joys of "Norton Folgate", one of my favourite albums. I'll have to have a listen to the new album when it comes out. They are excellent live.

They must be confident for them to announce them both.
Also, the Radio 1 thing a few years in Stewart Park went ahead and is also close to housing.

Stewart park is a much bigger location to have events such as this but Albert Park does host the Mela i suppose

Albert Park hosts the Mela and regular fairs, never the quietest of events. Really good to bring live festivals into the town. This will make music accessible to far more people.
The latest council budget cut proposals include closing the events section and stopping all events budget. This will almost certainly mean no Mela, no Reindeer Parade, no Orange Pip Market. no Discover Middlesbrough, no Local History Month and will surely make it harder to facilitate big outdoor events sucb as these. I hope you will support us in opposing this cut.

Rose and fall is my favourite album…. Not the most iconic or Commercial but some of the songs proper remind me of my mid teens… I used to listen to it over and over..
