The outcome was a frustrating 0-0 at Meadow Lane, but it is incredible that the home fans sold out all areas, as the small number of away fans were accomodated in the South East Corner of the Jimmy Sirrel Stand. There was an offer of Adults for a £5 which the club has tried similar before, but they never expected to sell out with days to spare. The club realised the suspension of League football during the World Cup would offer up a golden opportunity and it clearly worked. The previous National League record [12,843] was set last season at Meadow Lane when the Pies hosted Solihull Moors, Managed by previous Pies Manager - Neal Ardley.
Today, that record was bettered by 3668.
In the fifth tier of English Football - its an incredible figure.
Incidentally, according to BBC Notts, its 39 games since Notts County hadnt scored at least one goal in a game at home.

Ground staff done a brilliant job preparing the pitch.
This is the fifth tier for goodness sake!
