I think his stand-out game for us was last season against (a top-four-chasing) Spurs in the cup. Despite all their quality, he was the best player on the park that night, a class above everybody else. Strange to think that back in his first season under Monk, you could quite easily forget he was...
I know he has a song, however it only seems to be sung about once a game on average and given how inevitably and glaringly obvious it was during his absence just how vital he is to this team, should we be more vocally appreciative of what a fantastic captain, professional and lynchpin he's...
Thanks for the post Roofie, I'm not doing too bad thanks, every day is a struggle at some point but I'm still here I guess, and spring is also here so it's nice to see nature coming to life again. Hope you're well mate.

I don't have a major problem with him apart from the opposition goal thing, as others have said. I don't expect him to act devastated about it but at least tone down the excitement/decibel level compared to when the Boro score. It's called Radio Tees for a reason.
Not that I'm overly fussed as I'd sooner he didn't play but is there a particular reason for his omission from the squad? IMO he's been one of our most impressive performers since Carrick arrived and was my MOTM against Preston on Sat.
