Anthony Taylor attacked by Roma fans

Players get slaughtered all the time for mistakes?

Attacks on and criticism of referees, how about we lead by example?

Nah, I'm still going to criticise wrong decisions. But I'd never directly abuse a referee after a match or try and target them afterwards to begin with.

    England v Ireland at Lords

There are only 12 test cricketing nations to begin with, so there's not much strength in depth in the sport.

Any mentions of our pre season fixtures?

They were just general sale for the friendlies last season.

Anthony Taylor attacked by Roma fans

To be fair, English clubs weren't banned for abusing a referee at an airport, they were banned because 39 people died in a horrific stadium disaster. I'd definitely be sanctioning Roma for this though, because it's 100% been influenced by their coaching staff's behaviour.

Any mentions of our pre season fixtures?

0, I'd presume. They didn't do them last season for friendlies, as far as I remember. I didn't get any for Hibs, anyway.

Anthony Taylor attacked by Roma fans

Horrible. He did a good job as well. Mourinho has to take some of the blame for this sort of reaction from the fans with his antics after the match.

    Shy postmen delivering parcels

Had a very large DHL delivery the other week that I was told was scheduled to arrive between 6 and 7pm on the morning of the delivery, it turned up at 11am whilst I was at work, thankfully my neighbour was able to accept it.

    Benzema leaving Real Madrid

I think he's going to be well aware of the mockery surrounding him over not winning a trophy in his career. Shearer gets mocked for his lack of trophies all the time, and he actually won the Premier League. I think he'd jump at the chance of joining Real Madrid if they were seriously...

Any mentions of our pre season fixtures?

Lots of buses apparently, and it's at a more convenient time this season.

    Benzema leaving Real Madrid

Obviously I could be wrong and Kane really tails off in the next few years, I hope he doesn't. I don't think Kane will end up there though, the finances at Real Madrid aren't amazing (by their standards) and they're already forking out a fortune on Jude Bellingham.

    Benzema leaving Real Madrid

I'm using them as examples because they're high profile and high level strikers, like Kane is. AC Milan won the league last season, and finished 2nd the year before that, not sure how that's not high level. I'm not saying Kane is going to be banging them in at 39. I'm just arguing against the...

    Benzema leaving Real Madrid

He's 41 now, but he was scoring virtually a goal a game at AC Milan in 2020/21 at the age of 39. Picking up plenty of injuries whilst doing so, but that would still be 9 years on Kane's current age.

Any mentions of our pre season fixtures?

    The traditional ones.

    Benzema leaving Real Madrid

Why only 2-3 years? Benzema won the Ballon d'Or last year, a few months off 35. Ibrahimovic was playing consistently at the top level until near his 40s. Lewandowski is playing at the top level and is nearly 35. Kane's game has never been based on pace. The fee might put them off, but Kane's...

    Benzema leaving Real Madrid

It was my first thought as well. One of the biggest clubs in the world in need of a centre forward, whilst one of the best centre forwards in the world is wanting a new club, and it helps that they're not a direct rival to Tottenham or in the same league. I suspect the asking price will put...

    Steffen injury

If it's a serious injury, and it sounds like one from his post, it'll be a while before he's fully fit again. Not ideal for planning for a season.
