Owners saying the dog ‘won’t bite’ or ’won’t hurt you’ etc is a real bug bear of mine and I feel saying those words to kids/kids parents is very irresponsible. You’re not a dog, you don’t know what that dog is thinking or might do from one minute to the next.

Got to disagree with that. Not sure on his appearance stats with Ipswich but we’re not bottom half/League 1, and he’s doing okay with us. Yes he’s got some weaknesses but 99% of Championship players do. I haven’t seen any suggestion that he’s not good enough (see Engel getting berated every week).

I think Edmundson and Clark are more old school defenders, they just love winning tackles, headers, putting their body in the way. I think Rav is more of a cultured CB, reads the game well, good positioning, tidies up. Maybe it’s more noticeable when this type of defender has a slight dip in form?

This! We are developing a very bad habit of throwing points away, giving sloppy goals away, losing very winnable games. Whatever the fixtures look like on paper, we can’t take them for granted. We don’t have that ruthless side to us to be able to account for points before a game.
