So who is in charge for today’s match FFS?

This didn’t happen with Wilder. Gibson’s reputation makes me think he’ll be stubborn about it, dig his heels in and the entire affair will be a messy drawn out process of Edwards forcing his way out over six months where no one is happy and we aren’t getting results. Not that I necessarily blame...

26 Boro managers in 133 years

Lot of things to blame: - Influx of money into the game - owners losing money consistently - more immediate need to “get it right” or to stop getting it wrong. - Transfer windows definitely a factor - judging on three transfer windows would have been 3 years 30 years ago, now it’s eighteen...

    Positive today

I think he’d actually quite suit us, weirdly enough. We’re the sort of fanbase his mentality would mesh well with, northern, working class, backs up against the wall. Obviously this suggestion is more about sticking it to Ed Bobwards more than anything.

    Positive today

Speaking of Nathan Jones, he is definitely one who should be on our radar.

    Woodgate…

Honestly, you can’t help but laugh. Good luck to Woody wherever he goes next.

Mowbray until the end of the season

All I’ll say is that quite a vocal contingent of Boro fans treated Mogga atrociously on his way out of the club last time (one of the most disgraceful and embarrassing things I’ve ever been associated with as a Boro fan) - why as a fan of the club and a legend would Mogga put himself through the...

    Stuart Boam passed away

One thing is for certain, it’ll be a nightmare to get through the pearly gates if Boam and Maddren are defending them. Well before my time, but the captain of what is probably Boro’s greatest modern XI. Hope the travelling Boro faithful give one of our true greats the tribute he deserves...

Think you’ll actually find I’m Mohamed Shawky mate!

New Boro Manager if RE does go to Wolves.

Got the distinct impression he doesn’t see it as an attractive proposition at the minute, and to be fair, why would you? They must be the only Premier League club whose owners over an eighteen month period have unintentionally stripped them of any stellar talent or potential saleable assets...

    Press Conference 12.45 today

On the top of O’Neil, he’s a really talented coach who spoiled his reputation at Boro by being way too honest about not having skin in the game for a relegation battle. Much more loyal players have arguably been less honest about their intentions with fans post-the fact. Definitely wasn’t an...

    Carlton Morris

Carlton Morris always gives me “good striker in a poor side” vibes, as in he seems to perform at his best when the team he’s in is underperforming. I think Conway’s the answer, he’s clearly lacking confidence in front of goal at the moment, but you can’t say we’re not creating chances for him...

    Press Conference 12.45 today

But then equally, if your choice is between O’Neil keeping them up only for them to be rock bottom in 12 months, or ten Hag coming in ala Emery at Villa, I think there’s a really obvious decision to be made there. Glad Rob has put the rumours to bed - lot of people desperate to draw the knives...

We need a Ramirez like signing in January

All I’m saying is that a certain Spanish winger who wears number 37 seems to be off the boil for Fulham at the moment….potential January return to revive his career in familiar surroundings?

Language used about the team, players and manager

I’ll say one thing: any manager who sticks up for his players in the face of public criticism or the extent Rob Edwards does is far from a coward. It’s genuinely refreshing to see how much he buys into his players as people rather than commodities - really unusual for the modern game unfortunately.

    Micah Hamilton

Think we struck utter once in a generation gold when we brought Rogers in, and that (unfairly) really elevated expectations as far as Hamilton went. In all honesty, probably a Carrick system player who didn’t settle quickly, and is now out of kilter with how Edwards sets his teams up. Could...

    Sheffield based Boro fans?

Also an adopted Sheffielder from Teesside - genuinely think the fact it’s quite a Boro-y city (small town centre, post-industrial steel area, down to earth locals) attracts us lot to the area. Don’t get to too many Boro games in person due to my job keeping me out of commission most Saturdays...

    * The Unofficial "Official" Middlesbrough v Ipswich [17/10/25] Match-Day Thread *

Game management there was unreal. Difference between this group of players now and last season is night and day. Some real characters coming to the fore, and couldn’t be happier to see it. Don’t want to tempt fate too early on, but I think us taking the sword to a top side like Ipswich shows...

    BROWNE

I have no clue how he spent a decade at PNE - feel like he should’ve been knocking around the top of the division a long time ago.
