    Two standout Stoke players

The right back (18) and the little midfielder (12). The right back was built like a brick outhouse yet was not just powerful but full of pace for a big lad. Won every tackle and was composed. Probably the most impressive right back performance I’ve seen in years. The little number 12 ran the...

What 1 thing would you say to your 18-year-old self?

Don’t be such a nice person and try to please everyone as you will always never please some people and others will have their own agendas. By appeasing the minority you will upset the majority. Just make your decision, stick with it, own it if people don’t like it, and move on.

Most disappointing concert you’ve ever attended.

Saw the Zutons supporting Beautiful South in Glasgow last Christmas. Absolutely brilliant. This 20 years after seeing them at V Festival where they were also superb. The Thrills. Can name one song and that’s it. All opinions though isn’t it.

    F1 Round 17. Baku.

Totally agree. He is a decent driver in the best car. He may finish third in 2-horse race.

    Portsmouth away

This is one of my bug bears. I need to start noting it down as I constantly have to count through as there is no way of seeing your family / friends points, even though they are linked to your account.

Halifax Town v Boro u21 - Live on YouTube at 7pm.

For my opinions worth, I think Woolston is the best thing to come through the academy in a long time but he is a sitting midfielder all day long and concerned the club have tried him in defence a lot recently when he is so composed on the ball. His 2 cross field passes right at the end showcased...

    Southampton bid for Azaz

My argument regarding this point is that Finn Azaz is too inconsistent. In a 46 game season he only turns up for half of them. In the 23 games he plays well he picks up a goal or an assist contributing to him getting big figures. However, when he is anonymous, he is a passenger and a...

What’s with the sudden change of ends?

I understand the potential reasoning of it, yet a big pull for the Family zone is that the children can see their heroes up close and warming up prior to kick off. They won’t be interested in Championship journeymen no-one will have heard of.

    Entertaining a 4 year old

WOW!!! I think it was Viv Anderson’s Nan on another thread who said they stopped posting as others just jump on them for having different opinions and find themselves arguing unnecessarily and I can see what they mean now. This should be a nice topic to help others so I will make this my last...

    Entertaining a 4 year old

Guisborough Forest Woods is a great shout. A family favourite I’d forgotten about as we were there regularly until my boy reached the age of 8. A great cafe there too. Hardwick Hall was always a non-starter due to the high car park charges.

    Entertaining a 4 year old

I’m not saying we don’t Corcaigh. The thread is about entertaining a FOUR year old. And at Saltburn you have the pier, a sandy beach that can seem huge when the tide is out, a lovely small arcade, and the park with the miniature railway. On the other hand Season Carew and Redcar have nothing...

    Entertaining a 4 year old

Shildon Railway Museum - Free entry. Down At The Farm, Houghton-Le-Spring Saltwell Park, Gateshead York Maze Unfortunately, if you take a day out at Saltburn out of the equation, Teesside is awful for places to go with younger children for the day, especially on a budget.

    Aidan Morris

Love Aiden Morris. The best midfielder we have and one of the best in the league in my opinion. But…… He really must learn to stop giving the ball away on the half turn on the edge of our penalty area. 2nd goal yesterday came from him doing this twice in a minute as he tired at the end, and he...

Would you have him? Has management experience at a club expected to win every game. Big- name that could still attract players (like Lampard) And more importantly for Steve Gibson. Available.

Boro players everyone liked, but you didn’t

Great thread topic but after our recent run of awful left backs I’d snap the hand off any club willing to sell anyone of the quality of George Friend.

Boro players everyone liked, but you didn’t

Not “everyone” by any means but Emmanuel Pogatetz seemed to be popular despite being a slow, ponderous, underwhelming defender, whose “quality” contributed to our relegation as in my eyes he was clearly not good enough for top level football. (Captain Rhys) Williams - a poor, timid, constantly...
