    Hellberg vs Edwards stats

Surprising we are slightly better defensively under Hellberg. Goals, XG and possession the really big differences, and all substantially better. As said above we were second under Edwards as well so unlikely to see a complete turnaround in the stats.

    Sheffield United Favorites tonight....

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sheff Utd sneak into the playoffs by the end of the season, though they'll need to be at automatic promotion form to stand a chance. They will be tough to beat tonight. Definitely be OK with a draw keeping us level with Coventry going into next week (which oddly...

    Strelec Tonight..

He is very unlikely to play the formation that Wilder is expecting and will have prepared for, that's his genius.

    The FA verses D1ck Bone

This is from the findings - a deliberate abbreviation? “In the 40th minute of today’s game there was an allegation of a homophobic comment being made by our ass kit man Richard Bone aimed at the referee"

    8 home, 8 away

Cov's overall run in is easier, however after Saturday their next few games, like ours, look pretty tricky. Hulls next few are at home and Ipswich away where they have been poor. Form plays such a huge part I feel the next month could see a major swing.

    8 home, 8 away

Cov away is always going to be a difficult game. However with us in form and Cov showing at best patchy form, now is probably as good an opportunity as any to win it. Ipswich away four from the end of the season is likely to be a huge game

    Is it Monday yet?

The times I really dislike are international breaks

    8 home, 8 away

Exactly the sort of team that we would traditionally drop points to. This season feels very different. I would say we have had some tricky fixtures recently (West Brom away, Stoke away, Norwich home) and we've found a way to win. It wouldn't have been at all surprising if we'd picked up 3-4...

    First choice team?

It depends on Difficult decision that one and probably depends on the opposition. Ayling, is a quality ball playing centre back and has the ability to step out into midfield and take players on, on the basis he has traditionally been a right back. His ability to pass a ball long is exceptional...

    Portsmouth v Ipswich called off.

It's certainly an extra point Ipswich gained - they were very likely to lose. Presumably the red card stood?

    DEADLINE DAY

In the first game, I'd be more worried if they had signed Kevin Phillips. But medium term he's a very good player for the Champo

A Perfect Last Day of the Window…

Archer would be a good signing on loan. I know he's out of form from a goal scoring point of view, but is the sort of hard working player who runs the channels who would fit into the role Conway is currently playing. I still maintain he's the best natural finisher I've seen play for Boro since...

    Transfer window

We've changed our strategy. Only players willing to fly in on KLM welcome in Kim's team.

    Was it a red?

I was thinking the same. By the way the game is refereed this would be considered a yellow. However if a defender pulls down an attacker who would be one on one with a keeper (who has the considerable advantage of being able to use his hands) that is inevitably a red. So putting someone in a...

    Kim Hellberg

Remember taking my son to his first ever Boro away game at Peterborough under Wilder. We won 4-0 and I had to point out to him that you mustn't expect this every week! The fans were superb that day and totally behind the manager - I think we went up to 5th that day. It was only the Burnley thing...

    Cameron Archer

When we first took Archer, he was a young prospect (21?) with a really high ceiling. He took the form with us into the first few games of the Prem (scoring a cracker on his debut v Liverpool) but then the general malaise in that Sheff Utd team contributed to a lack of chances, and therefore...

    Team for tomorrow

Is Brittain back to play, even as sub? That's massive if so. I thought his injury looked pretty nasty and didn't expect to see him in Feb, let alone Jan

    "Red Bull" teams

We are not unique, but now unusual amongst sizeable clubs by having a local owner who fully funds it. It's even becoming less common amongst smaller clubs. Reality is this won't be the case for ever and at some point in the coming years we will need to decide on the least worst option. I doubt...
