That’s all I was trying to do. I saw the poster was a new member and I was just trying to manage expectations. The poster may not know the history of trying to get just one game a season where everyone can pay their respects to all those lost. Appreciate he/she is having a tough time tho and...

    Stevie Gibson is a red

There is an old adage…. If you don’t vote Labour in your 20’s you have no heart If you don’t vote Tory in your 40’s you have no brain Explains the significant Tory vote in the elderly. Largely referred to apocryphal nonsense that Labour will spend, spend, spend and tax your wealth (which you...

Labour promises rail nationalisation within five years of coming into power

Thames water had zero debt when it was privatised. Now it has £15bn - it’s eye watering. In that time senior managers have had massive bonuses and shareholders massive dividends. That’s just wrong on so many levels and, for an ‘essential’ service is a chuffing disgrace.

    Steve Gibson's fmttm Q and A - Thursday

Be interesting to see how this plays out. SG ought to be well advised. If so, he may hit this head on without the question being needed. If not, someone needs to be brave and probe it.

Labour promises rail nationalisation within five years of coming into power

You are right - this is a can of worms. Just been reading up on it. 87% of rolling stock is owned by 3 companies *ROSCOs) who have profited massively since privatisation. There are also questions about where they pay their tax. The government will lease the rolling stock from these companies...

Labour promises rail nationalisation within five years of coming into power

It was a joke. It was also a long long time ago. Nationalisation doesn’t change performance - only good leadership and governance does that. It’s a great policy in principle and a bold one. Hope he sticks with it.

I need a little help seeing the positive.

There is every logical reason to be optimistic given the last 10 games. I’m not tho - logic doesn’t work for some footy fans 😂

    Osprey spotting this morning.

Think it might be an age thing I’m 66 I’ve got memories, from my youth, of nature shows discussing the dwindling Osprey population and the plans to save them. Some horror stories shown of smashed eggs come to mind. Always wanted to see one in the wild - and have now done it.
