Being level with Newcastle is hardly something to give credit for! Burnley have scored 10 goals all season, that is abysmal by any teams standards in any league. They'll stay up easily because the bottom 3 is so bad this year not because they are any good.

Yes Almiron is almost as bad a signing as Joelinton, he looks a better footballer than Joelinton and has a few nice touches but his goal return is pitiful.

His 40 million makes the 12 for Alves look like peanuts. It's also clear why we were interested in Alves in the first place, but as someone has mentioned in this thread Joelinton had no goalscoring pedigree anywhere whatsoever and no international caps. Truly bizarre signing.

You might have seen more of them than me but from the little I’ve seen I’d say Callum Wilson is their only good player. They’d never finish top half even with the best manager in the world.
