    Steve Gibson's fmttm Q and A - Thursday

In my experience you don't often see too many particularly critical questions in these Q & A's. It's not as easy for a lot of people to relay that kind of discontent face to face.

    Great work Rob.

    Next seasons realistic aim

“We aren't in touch with the play offs.” Semantics. “Why will we be stronger compared to this year when we are weaker compared to last year?” This year was a rebuild. We have a season’s worth of bedding in. More players will hit the ground running and we’ll have significantly added to the...

    Next seasons realistic aim

I can give you a few reasons.. * We've managed to stay in touch of the play offs despite unprecedented injuries and season of huge squad turnaround. * The league will be weaker without Leicester, Leeds and hopefully Southampton. Plus Sheff United (starting on -2 points) Burnley and...

    Next seasons realistic aim

Crowds are going to be down on this season which is a shame. Might impact our start to the season. Having said that, we had good crowds at the start of this season and that made no difference

The core squad to build around next season

O'brien was very good last night. He's on his way back from a long term injury so you also have to factor that in to the equation. I'd prefer to keep him but it depends on how much Forest want for him. I get the impression McGree will be gone but i think we'll keep hold of Hackney. I think...

    Next seasons realistic aim

I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least finish top 6 next season. Automatics depends on whether our injury problems are endemic or whether it's a long term problem...and of course how recruitment and squad retention goes over the summer.

    Finn Azaz

No problem with Azaz trying things in the dangerous areas and losing the ball. As we've seen he's crafting plenty of assists and scoring a few goals too, so it's no bad thing.

Doesn’t look like it’s going to be a sell out on Monday

Spare a thought for me having to go into the office tomorrow. I would usually have scheduled a day away but i've got meetings i can't escape. If we win i'm coming into the office in my Boro shirt.

    Phones at gig's/concerts/festivals

I like to do a 30 seconds recording to remind myself of the gig later down the line. Agree with the sentiment though people that record for long periods are missing out and potentially ruining the vibe for others.

    VAR - For or Against

One of the principal reasons i hate VAR is the constraint it puts on that initial burst of spontaneity celebrating a goal. It's one of the best feelings in football. I hate anything that interferes with that feeling.

    VAR - For or Against

They shouldn't have had a penalty to equalise in the first place.

    Morgan Rogers

Azaz looks a real talent to me. Inevitably people are comparing him to Rogers and it appears many people who have 'set up their camp' on Morgan Rogers are taking the same line on whether Azaz is good or not which is a shame.

    Steve Gibson's fmttm Q and A - Thursday

Seconded. He's been criticised for not talking to the fans so he should get credit when he does. Expect a full write up on here from those that attended after the Q&A.

Doesn’t look like it’s going to be a sell out on Monday

You could say the same for any friend, colleague or acquaintance that supports a team that isn't a Boro fan. I also work in Tadacaster a suburb of Leeds (of sorts) and there's no interest in Boro from the locals here either. I'm not fussed either way, doesn't bother me if they think there's a...

    Morgan Rogers

No it wasn’t. We did incredibly well to generate that kind of profit from a player that had no Premier League experience and had only been on our books for 6 months. There’s a that black and white, either or opinion again 🙄. There is a situation where in fact everyone won from this deal which is...

Doesn’t look like it’s going to be a sell out on Monday

It’s not. I live in Leeds. Have done on and off since the early 2000’s. We’re just another game.
