Even for a pint of bog standard San Miguel? I've paid £8-10 in London for fancy stuff but £7 for a mass produced lager seems steep even for London let alone Teesside.

Depends when you were last in London. Its £6.70 for a standard lager in my North London local so its safe to assume £7 in the City

Well I was there last week but I suppose it depends where you go still to a degree. I don't often drink lager though so I guess I'm out of touch with the pricing.
