32 red sponsors

The number of gambling adverts are getting out of hand and that BINGO advert they show during the Chase is annoying.
There's a Tombola bingo advert , not sure if you talking about this, but it features a drone fly over of Salburn pier. I don't find this annoying. All the other bingo ads , yeah , can be quite annoying ;)

Made a lot of money out of exploiting gambling offers, online bingo ones were profitable but soul destroying to do. Rooms full of people on first name terms that sit there all day. Grim

Lets hope the club finds another major sponsor to replace 32Red and that in general football is able to end the dependency on gambling ads in the same way sport was able to leave smoking brands behind.

Rob.
Just after the season started we spoke over twitter in regards to buying shirts without the sponsors names on. I think you said that you were having a meeting about this amongst other things. Did anything come of it? I’d like to get a shirt but not while a betting company or the like is on the front. Thanks.

It appears the sponsors are actually only bothered about having their names on the shirts of the players. But a lot of people do want the exact same shirt as the players, sponsor and all. We need to ask again now if they can place an order for next season minus sponsor names. They are trying some women's sizes again - apparently they have proven really unsuccessful in the past attempts and not sold. Am sure Jo-Ann, in charge of retail, would need to get some kind of idea on numbers of demand. What sizes, what numbers etc.
Supply problems have been appalling this season in general across the range. I wonder if they could try a small stock in a few sizes.

Mind you would this issue change if it transpired they were dropping a betting company as sponsors?

Thank you. It would be great if we had the option to choose.

Last replica shirt I bought was the one when we didn't have a sponsor, 2010 I think it was. Still wear it now and again when it's warmer but needs replacing.
I will not buy a shirt with ANY sponsor on, so they are losing business from me. I don't even like the manufacturer name on, but a large advert emblazoned across my chest is a non starter to me.

A lot of people do want to buy the exact same shirt as worn out on the pitch.
But if they firstly get supply issues sorted then secondly having a batch without sponsor names would be great, wouldn't it.

How about buying them all blank then if you wanted you could add the sponsor name ( provided free by sponsor ) as an after sales thing, a bit like people add names and numbers on the back.

Crazy this you know. LOADS OF PEOPLE including myself would buy the shirt without the sponsor on the replica kit.. but as far as selling shirts to U18s or for U18s to wear I think the club needs to take responsibility, it it fundamentally wrong and I would go so far to say unlawful. We have had supply issues, which many clubs have had, but having gambling sponsors on replica shirts for kits is just not on.

I'm showing my age here, but way back in the 1986/87 season, Boro started the season without a sponsor. Later on in the season, Dickens sponsored us. I remember asking in the club shop about the shirts(only kid sizes way back then) and was told I could have it with or without the Dickens name.

It looks far better without the awful 32 Red logo anyway!
