42 positive Covid cases in the last week in Premier League

This must be linked to unvaccinated players then

if so are they in breach of their contract as surely this volume has to be a concern.

look at the nfl to see a similar scenario.

I've seen that even those double jabbed could have as little as 10% immunity from Omicron, so that doesnt seem to be the silver bullet that we thought it was a few weeks ago.

It also spells out why the government are so keen to get the third jab rolled out too.

They all have massive squads. One team Man U I think was on about cancelling game as 4 players tested positive. We have had more than 4 players out injured on numerous occasions this season.

Is vaccination status written into their contracts? Or have they all been rewritten?

Doesn't the NFL have a collective bargaining agreement? They may have renegotiated the agreement with the NFL Players Association.

I was under the impression Premier League players negotiated their contracts individually. In which case unless the club negotiated additional clauses after the original contract was signed, there may not be a reference to Covid or similar diseases in older contracts. I imagine there are references to injuries sustained during their playing career. If you catch Covid at your club, does that count as an at work injury?
