5 strikers on the pitch at the end

But midfield passing was terrible tonight. Two games in a row Howson has been hooked. The beginning of the end???

Thought howson was slow and ponderous today, he struggles against the heavy press and just plays the ball back to the centre backs continuously causing us to hoof it and invariably lose possession

Due to the lack of options ahead of him. Poor from the front two, and so much as Taylor is ok as a stand in, we need Bola back.

We struggled against a deep block tonight. Both Connelly and Sporar want to get in behind and had very little space to do so. Space was down the sides but we didn't exploit it well enough, and when we did, the final ball was poor.

We also never got a foot on the ball in the middle of the park all march which it very difficult to build structured attacks.

I hope it’s not the same story as what happened last January when he got dropped for Kebano and Bolasie after becoming out top scorer. I would one be surprised to see Watmore and Balogun against Coventry.
The same did happen last season.

We were playing well and Warnock suprisingly just brought all the loan signings straight in at the expense of Watmore and Johnson.

You'd think they have to earn the right to play in a side doing well. It may upset a few. I'm not saying it will.

Yet I've seen nothing to say Watmore shouldn't still be starting with the new boys rotating around him.

I imagine all 3 loan forwards have some kind of 'assurances' about playing. Teams wouldn't loan them without (nevermind what we are paying).

So Watmore is always going to be the one bombed. Although he's probably going to the only one here next season.
If that's the case that's why I dislike loans, can just about accept being an Arsenal B team, but Brighton ffs!

Crooks looked way better than both Howson and Tav last night. Howson especially seems to have lost the ability to play anything intricate when under pressure. Not sure Tav has ever had the ability. Hard to believe that Payero, Munce and McGree aren't better. Hopefully we start to see a different combo in the coming weeks, especially against teams like Blackburn. They have been playing well at times but our midfield looks to be our weakest area at the moment. Needs freshening up.
