Adama Traore released

Anybody who doesn’t want the pace, talent and flair of Traore back at the Boro either didn’t see him first time round at the Riverside or simply doesn’t understand football. Ten times the talent of anybody we have available to play on the right side. Sell Whittaker for £7m and use it to cover Traore’s wages for a couple of seasons - easy.

He’s been pretty bad for a number of years now. Granted at premier league level, and I’d imagine he’d probably be very good still in the championship, but he’s 30 and literally all he has is speed.

I am fairly biased against him though. Spent far too long on here arguing with a few people who claimed he was the most naturally gifted footballer we’d ever had at Boro. Which to reiterate, he really really wasn’t 😂

Wouldn't say no, if nothing else, he gets you up the pitch and seems to scare the sh*t out of defences. Or he did when he was here anyway, doesn't seem to have played all that match in recent years so I dunno if he's declined. You'd think if he's lost any of his pace that's most of his effectiveness gone.
 
Adama would terrorise Championship defences again. An exciting, proper winger, whose delivery has improved. Look at England’s first goal tonight to see how packed defences can be breached. Can you imagine him at Wembley a few weeks ago? It wouldn’t haven’t been so boring. Would hate to see him playing for another Club in the Championship, especially Wolves. A free transfer? Unbelievable! Wages would be a problem though. He has never really reached his peak. Maybe as he slows with age, could Kim Hellberg sort him out? I would pay the entrance fee just to watch him. Probably the most exciting player, after Juninho, I have ever seen at the Boro.

I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Whenever I'd seen him for fulham (did see for for wham) he was always creating chances, the same for wolves.

Unfortunately for him, modern football is overly tactical and his reluctance to be and do exactly as he's told at all times was his undoing.

He's also terrible at running on to the ball, only wants it to his feet.

I remember when many on here were outraged by us choosing to keep Traore and sell Albert Adomah, whom they considered far superior to Traore.
