What's the news of his injury? Last I heard he'd miss most of pre-season, but we're way beyond that now.
 
When Warnock was asked before Fulham he said that they were no further forward as he knee kept swelling up. So, he won't be able to rush him.
 
A great signing he's turning out to be. Let's hope he's back firing soon, I dread to think where we'd be without his 3 goals and 2 assists come May.
 
191 Champo games, 18 goals and 21 asissts.

9 of those assists came in one season for Forest though, his best assists season after that is 4.

Most he's ever scored in a season is 5, from 45 games.

He has looked a really dangerous player in the past 2 seasons not just when we play against Forest but also when they have turned up on screen. One of the more consistent from an incredibly inconsistent team.
 
Doesn’t someone have to convert for it to be counted as an assist? If so, figures could be misconstrued to show that he is ineffective whereas, from what I have witnessed he is anything but.
Do those who knock the lad before he’s even had a chance with us genuinely enjoy doing so?
I remember the same crap before Watmore started showing us what he was capable of.
 
No enjoyment, just posting his stats. I had no opinion on Watmore, I assumed as he'd looked good in the Prem as a youngster he'd have the ability. Only concern were what his injuries had done to him. He looked great for most of his spell fit last season. Tailed off towards the end, never seemed to hit the same level of energy and performance post Covid. Was pretty anonymous at Fulham, but that was a tough first day. I'm hoping to see him play off (or much closer to) Ikpeazu tomorrow.
 
I looked at the forest board to gauge what their supporters think of him. Seems pretty similar to our own feelings about Marvin Johnson. Solid pro, Sorry to see him go, but need better if they are serious about promotion. They also had him down as one of the few players they had that was good to watch, but questioned his end product.

The goal stat still stands. I don’t think it’s having a go. It’s dealing in numbers and facts. Especially when it comes to goals scored.

I'd guess a hell of a lot of those appearances are subs though. That improves his stats, but shows he's not exactly consistent enough to keep his place.

Just checked 64 sub appearances, so 127 starts.. 64 sub appearances. He gets a goal or assist every 320mins or 3 1/2 games. He should have more, but then he's barely played in a top half championship side, almost always in a struggling side.

It is always tricky with sub stuff, if he was doing well he'd play the full game you'd suppose If he's benched as there is a better player in front of him, as an unorthdox winger who can do something unexpected he'd probably get brought on when they were already losing anyway and were chasing a game.

I suppose total minutes played is the fairest if you are dealing in raw stats.

Not sure on the club level having much bearing, if he was better the club would be higher in the league, or a better team would have probably signed him? (maybe they have now?)

He's inconsistent, capable of good stuff on occassion, but he's not an unknown kid or coming from another league. He's had five proper seasons in the Championship, he probably averages four goals and five assists a season. Not awful, and I don't think anyone is 100% writing him off, but his contribution I am suspecting will be similar to what Johnson would get over a full season without his versatility (of sorts).

He's now also had no pre-season and has some sort of inflammation injury to his knee that the club don't seem to be able to get to the bottom of.
 
Do you think we signed him as we saw something we definitley wanted that would greatly improve us, or is it more likely he's from the area, 6' 4", on a free and he fills a hole in the squad?

Hope he’s here as a squad filler if we aim to be a top half team!
 
Lies, dam lies and statistics.

You could be messi creating all the chances you want but if your creating for Lee Miller your stats will look very different to creating for Kane…

You can look at all stats you want but from what I have seen he don’t look that great. I will wait till I see him play again but I am in hope not expectation.
