Americas Cup

Americans have withdrawn from the round robin and will aim to get their boat repaired for the semi final (against the loser between GB and Italy). GB need just 2 wins to go through to the Prada Cup Final.

Think it will be Prada and Magic in the repacharge, and just cant see Magic being competitive, but I hope I am wrong

Think it will be Prada v Ineos. Just cant see American magic getting the boat back into a competitive state.
Still, at least it is Spittle v Dean Barker all over again

Reading an article in the Dominion Post that says something to the effect that the capsize and subsequent damage to the hull of Magic may have the opposite effect I.e give them time to plan and improve the boat. A lot of resource has been thrown at it including NZ boatbuilders assistance. Wouldn’t write off Americans just yet.

Let's hope we get some good racing, and not just a walk in the park for the Italians would love to have been down in the village looks great.

Unbelievable turnaround and fair play to the GB team. All the jokes on them at the start. Let's hope they get to the final and who knows win it for the first time ever.

Been over to the harbour today to see the 3rd and 4th races if the semi.

The US are out. Italy have won 4-0 with Luna Rossa now through to the Prada Cup Final against UK.

Bet it was good. Down in Queenstown, starting the Milford track tomorrow so will be out of range for a few days until Thursday. Weather looking good, should be able to see the boro win before I lose the signal though.

I'm not really a sailing guy and know little about the sport at this level, but I think the coverage on sky is absolutely brilliant, I'm really enjoying it

Delayed start today by the sounds of it, they've gone for course A looking for wind
You up the AT?

Yes am in Auckland and was watching from the foreshore on the big screen. Macs gold in hand. . Started a new thread as couldn’t find this one on pecursory glance on my phone.

Very much an anti climax for the Brits. Ainslie will have to rethink and hope the wind starts blowing tomorrow.
