The same fans who would have crucified him if he’d struggled after the club had tried to oust him.

Chuba owes this club nothing.
If he leaves it will be for a huge profit that will cover his fees and wages over his contract and then some.

I really hope he stays because he made such an incredible overall contribution last season and was the League Player of the Season and Golden Boot for a reason.
If he chooses to take an offer then I will thank him and wish him all the very best.

Whilst I agree with the principle, his sale is hardly going to fund a significant recruitment drive unfortunately.

He scores goals so someone will pay good money, but he doesn’t have the ability to play in a Carrick side. He’ll fund a signing if we sell crooks

He's 27. That Boro Breakdown interview was great but he clearly said he wants to play in the PL. We'd be daft to think if there was a serious offer for him he wouldn't be interested. It's up to us to convince to him to stay here 1 more year.

Of course he does and ideally with us. He doesn’t want to sit on the bench in the prem, which rules about 15 clubs out. The others are going to be a long hard struggle with very little sight of the ball.

Its all about finances, Chuba will go if the deal is what he wants and suites what the club want, either way we will rebuild and be stronger than last season for the lessons learned!

TBH it's wins all around with Chuba..

If he stays - we've a striker full of confidence in the manager & playing well & hopefully scoring goals & pushing us up the table.. maybe he signs a new contract, terrific, maybe he leaves on a free at the end of a promotion push season for us... fine..

if he goes now, good luck & we get some decent money for him.. though if I was him I'd be staying well away from Luton - I fear they'll be in for such a spanking - time & again - next season their new kit could be PVC..

Not sure I see it like that - he'll be waiting to see what his options are, which will most likely strengthen his hand in negotiating a new contract.

I think he'll move on and we'll get a good fee for a player who's had a great season for us and one that would have left for nothing this summer, but I dont think its certain.

He's in a strong position and he will wait until all his postenial option are known, which won't be for a couple of months yet.
