underated player broke up play well and kept it simple. In fact he is just the type of player we are missing now
My dad always reckoned he was a key component in us getting promoted that season. Sat in front of the back four and protected them. Made us a lot more solid, particularly away from home.
 
The king of the sideways pass. I always had a soft spot for him. Mind you, I was excited by the loan signing of John Gannon so what did I know?
 
Pretty average until his and Lennie's final season when he basically ran most games. Though we were deeply average most of that season. Probably knew that Robson wouldn't keep him around though I'm sure he could have done a job at 33 for another team.
