Another Brexit "benefit"- sorry but I just can't help myself

Whilst this might seem amusing, I suspect the EU are starting to punish the UK for failure to implement the NI Protocol. If this goes on they will impose additional tariffs and have sanctions right up to a trade embargo. None of these are good for the UK.

BY Punishing do you mean "applying the rules that were agreed". That's the problem with the language used in this country. You see some sort of punishment (I guess you don't but use that word to suit your agenda) I see an organisation complying to a treaty that was agreed by both sides. The UK are the ones not following the rules.

They are protecting their borders, that's what trade blocks do, we wanted a trade block of one, that means we will face selling into every other country in the world....it's what we voted for apparently, but we hold all the cards with our oven ready deal and british exceptionalism.

I think the use of the word "punish" would suggest you were. But fair enough it's just a wording thing.
Punish is exactly what they are doing. Are they right to do that? Absolutely we can't stick to an international treaty they have every right to start introducing sanctions.

You don't need to look for an argument in every post ST

That's it. It's not punishment. You said it yourself is sticking to a treaty. Maybe we shouldn't have agreed to the treaty if we were big to ignore it

According to the Independent The estimated weekly damage done to the UK economy up to the end of 2019 was £400m - £800m per week. Maybe this should be put on the side of a bus.

Didn't I hear today that the damage done to the economy has already overtaken the amount of money we paid in membership fees?

Welsh fans banned from traveling to Amsterdam as they are coming from a non EU country
Yet another senseless waste. Brexit is such a catastrophe at every single turn. Except for abused Australian sheep as we have established

This isn't punishing. It simply says the UK isn't part of the EU when it comes to requiring 30% of content to be EU content. This is in order to stop Netflix et al hitting European creative arts. We can join the EU if this upsets anyone.
